Historia
High up on the windswept cliffs of Pale Peak, Faye and Felix celebrate their new engagement. But soon, a chorus of ghastly noises erupts from the nearby woods: the screams of animals, the cries of children, and the mad babble of a hundred mournful voices. A dark figure looms near the windows in the dead of night, whispering to Faye. As the weather turns deadly, Felix discovers that his terrified fiancée isn't just mumbling in her sleep—she's whispering back.

This was a waste of my time
Revisado: 04-19-25
At least it was free. This book seems like it is a good story, and it did keep my interest. But it keeps on and on with a super weak female character and a very weak ending. I feel like i waisted 10 hours of my time.

Historia
One night, Aaron and Dana go swimming in a man-made lake that sits on an allegedly uninhabited property. They think it's strange that the entrance to the lake has two tall pillars that they have only seen before on graveyard gates. But it doesn't stop them from going in. They are never seen alive again. A year later, Todd Holloway, a struggling musician, moves into the abandoned house next to the man-made lake. Aside from an eerie feeling he gets from the property, it's his dream house. He jumps at the opportunity to buy it at a significantly reduced price. After Todd moves in, he begins to...

Historia
“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

Historia
Some art takes on a life of its own. A beautiful house. A loving family. Two kids, a dog, and a tenure-track professorship teaching art at the local university. Dan Rineheart is living the dream. But all dreams must end. When an anonymous painting arrives at the university, Dan is tasked with uncovering the artist. No title. No name. No signature or frame. It’s a disturbing work of grotesque perfection. A work of art...that changes with each viewing. So begins the nightmare. Where painted clocks tick-tock in the dark hours before dawn.
