Being a last-year high-schooler who is four feet, eight inches (142 cm) in height is one thing, but having the muscles of a bodybuilder and the face of a middle-aged biker at the same time is another. And don't you dare to bring up shaving in front of him. Did I mention that the boy's favorite hobby is smithing?

Historia
It's Valentine's Day in Winterspell, but not everyone appears to be feeling the love. And no, I'm not talking about my dateless self. Instead of being wooed by candlelight, I'm working in a candle shop. Cora Hearth, Winterspell's magical chandler, has teamed up with Sugar Shack to create party favors for the lucky couples, and they're counting on us to spark some magic for their special night. So, when a thief breaks into my delivery van and swipes the goodies, Cora and I-and her persnickety talking cat-have to join forces to track down the culprit in time to save Valentine's Day.

Short fun
Revisado: 01-25-25
I love the sarcastic cat she makes the story for sure, the ending was pretty funny. I guess the lesson learned pay attention to 1k plus gift bags maybe don’t leave them alone just saying. It’s a pretty cute story very fluffy and fun, but what I needed for sure. Lots of back and forth banter not sure I would ever want to read it again though it’s a one and done but still fun.

Historia
Every night, in the college’s ancient cemetery, five people cross paths as they work the late shift: a bartender, a rideshare driver, a hotel receptionist, the steward of the derelict church that looms over them, and the editor-in-chief of the college paper, always in search of a story. One dark October evening in the defunct churchyard, they find a hole that wasn’t there before. A fresh, open grave where no grave should be. But who dug it, and for whom?

I wanted more to the story the set up was great but the middle and end was muddled and chaotic hard to follow and wasn’t satisfying with the ending - also not listed on Goodreads or Bookmory.

Historia
Living in a year around Christmas town has its drawbacks. The caroling, the decorations, the insanely cheery spirit, it never disappears. It's why I like to hibernate away in my cave - I mean housekeeping a healthy distance from the holly jolly spirits. And all was going according to plan until my nemesis, Storee Taylor, moved in next door to care for her Aunt Cindy. Without blinking, she turned my simple world into a real nightmare-before-Christmas, especially when she decided to enter the town Christmas Kringle contest - which she was determined to win.

Nipples
Revisado: 12-25-24
I would have enjoyed this story more as a cozy Christmas story without the romance, and the obsession and constant checkins with everyone’s nipples was comical like stop.
The enemies to lovers set up was one that really made no sense even when explained like use your words come you acting hostile right away and we have no reason why until 1/2 or more through the story.
I did like the spin off and the puns/ narration of the classic grinch story that was fun and why I also think it would be a great cozy Christmas story minus this particular love situation.
I gave this book 3 stars I loved the vibes wasn’t so much into the romance part of the story.

Kelly Bishop’s long, storied career has been defined by landmark achievements, from winning a Tony Award for her turn in the original Broadway cast of A Chorus Line to her memorable performance as Jennifer Grey’s mother in Dirty Dancing. But it is probably her iconic role as matriarch Emily in the modern classic Gilmore Girls that cemented her legacy. Now, Bishop reflects on her remarkable life and looks towards the future with The Third Gilmore Girl. She shares some of her greatest stories and the life lessons she’s learned on her journey.

A wonderful behind the scenes of the woman who become the third Gilmore girl
Revisado: 12-21-24
I was a little hesitant to read this book at first thinking it might be a side story to the gilmore girls tv story. After the first 2 chapter I already knew it was going to be a wonderful story.
Gilmore girls is one of the few tv shows I can relate to my childhood and it has become a tradition for me as for many others to binge watch it all in the fall. The show sends out those cozy fall vibes.
Learning more about the-actress and her journey before during and after her roll on the show was a very pleasant and surprising at times to hear.
To know more about the lady who brought Emily Gilmore to life makes the show all that more dear and special, Kelly Bishop is a very relatable and highly motivated individual.
The Gilmore Tribe is blessed she was able to finish out one of her best known rolls, not leaving out dirty dancing of course.
The Third Gilmore Girl is a wonderful journey through the life of a woman that was in love with life and all the things she was able to do in it. Bringing so many characters to life in the process of doing what she loves, sharing her struggles and wins and even losses at times.
I especially liked how she ended her memoir the same way she talks about ending the Gilmore girls last episode,
With a cliff hanger and a the belief both Kelly Bishop and Emily Gilmore will both live the rest of their lives happy and doing what they love most.

really enjoyed the story, it was fun with lots of action and only reason I gave it 3 stars instead of 4 was although the AI performance was pretty good it, had plenty of moments where it lost smoothness. overall I recommend listening or reading this story, if you love story's like Jurassic Park or Tera Nova you'll enjoy hope to read the next book when it comes put

Titanic ghost ship in space
Revisado: 06-24-24
Dead silence 3/5
I gave review for dead silence three out of five stars. This is one of the books recommended to me by one of the viewers from the live YouTube reading sprints.
Although Science Fiction is not generally something I enjoy reading I generally enjoy watching it and movies. I did enjoy this book. However, I did struggle to grasp the initial concept of what was happening. I got as far as they are in space. It was her last voyage and they found an abandoned cruise ship , and then after that, it was very scattered and I had to restart. I would say 3 to 4 times maybe that is just me and how my brain works, but it was a struggle.
I was eventually able to push through the difficult transition from exploration to a space version of ghost ship I did, however, enjoy the different personalities in the crew and their different reactions as the story played out. The character representation was done very well in my opinion, and overall concept and the outcome of the story was creepy, sinister, and dark, and did honestly infuriate me a little bit at times. I have to say I did love the ending more than I expected to.
In short, I would summarize this book as a titanic/ghost ship retelling that happens in space, well worth the read, especially if you were someone who enjoys a Science Fiction or thriller novel.

Review for The Sandman by Neil Gaiman
- 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The theater experience was my favorite part of the story, the audiobook production is truly a work of art.
I was expecting something along the lines of a terror who gives nightmares to people, and I did not expect the human to be as involved in each tale.
this was a very graphic read at points some parts I was like I don’t even know why that’s there, but it did make up the story. I would say it is quite a bit along a horror there are definitely graphic bits.
I Very much enjoyed how the Sandman himself was connections with both beings from the realms and humans on earth.
So many twists and turns of the plot, as the history is delivered and wonder fully entwined with the current affairs being described to us throughout the story.
An adventurous introduction to a large world that has so much room for expansion and so many more stories to tell
I loved the introduction to the family dynamic. We’ve heard muses and different gods before, but this was a different twist for me personally, and I definitely enjoy hearing about the siblings and the work that they cary out
I would have to say my favorite character in the story would be death. I found the character to be the most complicated, and also the most surprising when introduced to us as the readers.
I would definitely listen to more stories about the siblings and the Sandman, I would especially be interested in hearing more about death and what that story looks like.
I am look forward to the new beans such as the child between Sandman and the muse, and another mentioned with the woman who lived in the underworld after her husband passed are these actually his children or are these children that he is claiming
I will definitely be looking forward to act two.

Shots rang out in Savannah's grandest mansion in the misty, early morning hours of May 2, 1981. Was it murder or self-defense? For nearly a decade, the shooting and its aftermath reverberated throughout this hauntingly beautiful city of moss-hung oaks and shaded squares. John Berendt's sharply observed, suspenseful, and witty narrative flows like a thoroughly engrossing novel, and yet it is a work of nonfiction.

I gave this book 2 stars
I felt like it really dragged on and the plot of the book was a little dry to be honest it started out, quite exciting, and with a lot of promise, but ended up just being a man who thought he could get away with anything if he had the right connections
Learn a lesson along the way that people don’t stand by you, when you become a trouble.
I think the book showed a lot of promise but the execution of the plot and the layout did not have a smooth and entertaining flow throughout.

It’s been Corrie’s life goal to lead an expedition deep into the Mexican jungle in search of the long-lost remains of her ancestor, Chimalli, an ancient warrior of the Aztec empire. But when she is invited to join an all-expenses-paid dig to do just that, Corrie is sure it’s too good to be true...and she’s right. As the world-renowned expert on Chimalli, by rights Corrie should be leading the expedition, not sharing the glory with her disgustingly handsome nemesis.

Cringy and not enough adventure
Revisado: 12-27-23
Well lots of jealousy and awkward urges That an adult should have mastered at such an age. It’s creepy how he describes her and is turned on by everything she does, poor woman is just existing.
I just really found the romance - or more like lusty parts of the book were cringy. It’s like listening to high school kids, and the head games and pity parties they play and label as flirting just wasn’t doing not for me.
I really wanted more adventure and less of the crude sexual narrations from both sides.
So over all I would skip this book.
