Historia
Portland is famous for its rain, hipsters, craft beers...and coffee. Sage Caplin has high hopes for her coffee cart, Ground Rules, which she runs with her business partner, Harley - a genius at roasting beans and devising new blends. That's essential in a city where locals have intensely strong opinions about cappuccino versus macchiato - especially in the case of one of Sage's very first customers. Sage finds the man's body in front of her cart, a fatal slash across his neck.

The definition of cozy mystery story and characters even thought it was set in Summer time.

Good pace, the narration was a bit slow at times. I listened at 1.5 speed. I liked this story.

Finlay Donovan has been in messes before—after all, she's an author and single mom who's a pro at getting out bloodstains for rather unexpected reasons—but none quite like this. After she and her nanny/partner-in-crime Vero accidentally destroyed a luxury car that they may have "borrowed" in the process of saving the life of Finlay's ex-husband, the Russian mob got her out of debt. But now Finlay owes them.

Still awesome
Revisado: 02-22-23
Sometimes books and plots lose their luster by the third one, but this story and these characters continue to be surprising, funny, exciting, and I still want more.

Kate Winslet fabulously delivers a classic.
Revisado: 01-22-21
I have loved Matilda since I was a child. Kate brought emotions and passions to her performance. The uniqueness of her various voices made this a delight to listen to. I would love to see Kate perform more audio books.

Historia
The two-time Emmy Award-winning actress has written her first book, a surprisingly raw and triumphant memoir that is outrageous, moving, sweet, tragic, and heartbreakingly honest. Guts is a true triumph - a memoir that manages to be as frank and revealing as Augusten Burroughs, yet as hilarious and witty as David Sedaris.

Getting real about addiction
Revisado: 02-02-17
I laughed and cried listening to Kristen. I have been doing a lot of research about drug addiction to help a very close family member. This book helped more than I could have hoped. It provided some understanding, talked about the hard stuff, and was incredibly honest. Her delivery made this book so worthwhile. Thank you, Kristen for your honesty. It helped my family.
