Believe in yourself
Revisado: 10-05-24
the whole book sums up to the idea that your ability to endure is largely in the brain and what you think you can do. Rarely, people push themselves beyond that to death but for most of us, even the most elite, there is more in the tank.

Historia
Discrimination and Disparities challenges believers in such one-factor explanations of economic outcome differences as discrimination, exploitation, or genetics. It is listenable enough for people with no prior knowledge of economics. Yet the empirical evidence with which it backs up its analysis spans the globe and challenges beliefs across the ideological spectrum.

truth about social justice
Revisado: 12-23-20
Must read for anyone who seeks the truth about "social justice". Not recommended for those who desire to see themselves as victims of the world and want the government to codle them. Those who see themselves and others as victims will have to face the reality, based on empirical data, that shows that capitalism and less government influence factually leads to better outcomes for all people who choose to participate in their own success, regardless of skin color or ethnicity.

Historia
Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the Black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned. She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the Black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American dream.

necessary book
Revisado: 09-26-20
This book helps shed light on the truth of American history. It should be a must-read or listen for everyone, especially for those who have been tricked into believing main stream media and those pushing the victimhood, racist narrative we see too often.

Love this book for the content and premise!
Revisado: 05-07-18
the premise of this book is that comebacks are not only possible but that there is a proven path. if others have done it, then it's possible and the author lays out a path to follow. When we're at the depth of a setback it can be difficult if not impossible to see the way out or that a comeback is possible. Thank God books like this exist as a reminder that it is possible and others have done it.

good regurgitation of other great advice
Revisado: 04-15-18
it was a good parable type of story. but I found it incredibly unoriginal. I felt like it was a summary of many of the books and YouTube videos I've consumed over the last few years. If someone doesn't actively read or work on their own development, they'd probably find it to be more enlightening. With that said, I thought there were many good reminders and advice.
