Historia
Learning to live in this newfound potential can be exciting rather than exhausting. Emotions like fear, anxiety, and heartbreak are not collateral damage, slings and arrows to be absorbed and swallowed down, silenced and pushed aside. Rather, each emotion is a portal that shows us what more we can do, if instead we recognize that on the other side of this wonderful hell that we so badly wanted is another and another and another...but only if we choose to accept it.

I live and thrive in Wonderhell
Revisado: 04-06-25
Book #6 for 2025!
I live in wonderhell on almost a daily basis. Seriously. The wonder that comes from building businesses, doing things others haven’t and then the hell that can often exist in the incredibly hard work to make it all happen.
Two of the biggest 🤯 out of this first time consuming…
1. The potential you see in yourself is a burden. Wow. Often times, high performers are their own worst critics and we have to fight our own expectations
2. You pay for the red ink. This…. If you want to get better, grow and maximize your potential, you don’t want to be in a room that is “easy” I WANT the red ink, especially when it comes from someone that you aspire to be.
Thank you Laura!
Everyone else… you need to experience your own wonderhell. If you don’t, you aren’t really living to your potential.

Historia
This is not a story about failure, but it might as well be. When we don't define success in our own terms, finding our purpose, and carving our own path becomes impossible. How do you break the cycle so that you can be better at work and life? In this audiobook, Laura Gassner Otting teaches you how to ignore the rules that created your limits, align your energies and your actions, and do work that really matters so that you can live your best life.

Don’t limit purpose in your work
Revisado: 03-19-25
As I was listening to this book, I just kept thinking yes yes yes
I believe that business is the greatest untapped, vertical for personal purpose and fulfillment.
This book checked all the marks and then some around the idea of where are you getting your purpose and performance from.
Thank you Laura for putting this out in the world
I definitely recommend this book, especially if you’re earlier on in your career or wanting a change.

Humility is not a Weakness
Revisado: 06-20-24
As I consumed this book from @koenigurs, I couldn’t help but think of how under rated humility continues to be.
It is not a weakness, it’s a powerful tool to balance confidence, restrict arrogance and unlock creating a better workplace and company.
I also couldn’t help but think of past work environments or atmospheres that could use this book.
Humility in leadership doesn’t get the spotlight that it should. Thank you Urs for this insightful perspective. 🙏🏻

Historia
Can’t Hurt Me, David Goggins’ smash hit memoir, demonstrated how much untapped ability we all have but was merely an introduction to the power of the mind. In Never Finished, Goggins takes you inside his Mental Lab, where he developed the philosophy, psychology, and strategies that enabled him to learn that what he thought was his limit was only his beginning and that the quest for greatness is unending.

Revisado: 05-10-23
You want something to both challenge you and encourage you?
Do you need a book to help you dig deeper than you thought you could?
Listening to this book before and during running the #indymini helped me overcome the mental desires to give in to my lack of training and beat the 2 hours mark.
