Joe Kenda investigated 387 murder cases during his 23 years with the Colorado Springs Police Department and solved almost all of them. And he is ready to detail the cases that are too gruesome to air on television, cases that still haunt him, and the few cases where the killer got away. These cases are horrifyingly real, and the detail is so mesmerizing you won't be able to turn it off.

I’m a huge fan. I love this guy and his honesty. This book is full of stories that couldn’t be put in his show. I have great respect for him and his judgment. The world could use a lot more officers like him today.

Historia
H. H. Holmes’ story has become one of legend. Holmes committed his crimes during a time in history where the idea of murdering on a mass scale was being introduced to the world through the actions of Jack the Ripper. Unlike Jack the Ripper, Holmes’ motives were clear; he killed out of greed, convenience, and curiosity.

Short and to the point
Revisado: 08-20-20
I never knew much about HH Holmes before this. I wish there had been more information about him. Considering when this all happened I can understand why. There was a very clear picture painted of him by the author. I’m just amazed after reading this. Him being the first of his kind ever recorded the end result is all sociopaths act exactly the same. Reminded me a lot of Ted Bundy in the end.

Excellent
Revisado: 08-12-20
I’ve always been interested in John Douglas. I read a book about Ted Bundy and found him very interesting. I am highly interested and fascinated with behavioral science. I loved psychology in school and have been fascinated with the human mind. I strongly recommend this book. I wish I had read it a long time ago

Historia
For 31 years, a monster terrorized the residents of Wichita, Kansas. A bloodthirsty serial killer, self-named "BTK" - for "bind them, torture them, kill them" - he slaughtered men, women, and children alike, eluding the police for decades while bragging of his grisly exploits to the media. The nation was shocked when the fiend who was finally apprehended turned out to be Dennis Rader - a friendly neighbor...a devoted husband...a helpful Boy Scout dad...the respected president of his church. Written by four award-winning crime reporters who covered the story for more than 20 years, Bind, Torture, Kill is the most intimate and complete account of the BTK nightmare

I wanted to read the book because he is the one famous serial killer I never read about
Revisado: 08-11-20
I am amazed by the human mind and what drives it to do sick and shocking things to others for sexual gratification. BTK and John Wayne Gacy. Just freaked me out. The killing and reviving just to say something else to them got to me. It’s a great book. I gave it four stars because it kept going back and telling so much about the investigators. These guys were brilliant don’t get me wrong. I just got so freaked out by him sitting watching a small child hang and die that I wanted to reach the end.
My fascination with the criminal mind and how they blend in with society is what drives me to these book. Psychology has always been amazing to me. Anyone interested should try this book once. More than that and you should seek help

Excellent but very creepy book
Revisado: 08-05-20
The book is very informative and the different types of killers. He uses examples of real cases. The book grabs your attention fast. It starts at full speed and maintains it through the entire book. When I read that Israel Keys studied this book to find out how to keep from being caught I had to read it. Warning though. You have to be interested in what makes the human mind do twisted sick things. It’s very descriptive.
