I was immediately pulled into this story because I grew up in the Bay Area so the setting was familiar. The characters were similar to the people my family socialized with: competitive, falsifying achievements to get ahead. I also am familiar with the east coast and enjoyed the contrast in lifestyles and homes.
Glad it had a happy ending.
Perfect vacation read.

Didn’t know I could be even more impressed with the former First Lady.
Loved understanding her humble origin in south Chicago and her early pre-Barack years.
The stories about the courtship with other men then Barack are interesting too.
She had a high school counselor who told her she wasn’t Princeton material.
I had a bad high school counselor who also told me I wasn’t going to amount to much.
Those people are dangerous and evil.
