Decent
Revisado: 10-21-17
I purchased this book because it was ranked in the top 3 of the type of books I listen to and the other 2 books in the top 3 are my top 2 favorite books of all time so I figured I would love it. I was somewhat disappointed. The story was decent. There were moments that I loved however it was somewhat dragging. I wish it was a little more fast paced. The author did a beautiful job with both character and world building without a lot of unnecessary detail. Overall the book was very well written. It had a good premises although at times I found myself a little lost as to what was going on and a few things had loose ends however I have only read the first book so like with many series everything may come together in book two or three. Unfortunately, even though I love this genre, I'm not sure if I will purchase book 2 or 3. Partly in fear that they will have the same dragging pace. The story itself was good and I commend the author for his skill at writting. It did manage to hold my attention throughout the book but as I said I don't know if it did enough to prompt me to try the next in the series. The narrator spoke in clear words so you could easily understand him. However with that being said at times it was difficult understanding who was speaking as there was no variance in one character from another. Instead of "voice acting" it was just read.

Revisado: 06-27-17
This is a great book. I caught myself quiet a few times thinking... Do I like this book so much because of the narrator or do I like the narrator because of the book? Either way it was brilliant both from the author and a narrator that gave it the justice warranted for such a work of art. Thank yoh

Breathtaking
Revisado: 05-06-17
I had been waiting for this to come out and it was worth every minute I had to. Breathtaking if I had to describe it in one word that would be it. I was wary about the new narrator but Amanda did this book justice. Thank you Sarah for yet another of my favorite books. I now have 11 favorites total and your books takes 9 of those slots.

Every book gets better!
Revisado: 09-11-16
I absolutely adore the series. Every book keeps getting better and better with more twists and turns and surprises. this Series has easily become my favorite series and I have listened to all of the books over and over again. Yet Sarah J Maas has done it once again with Empire of Storms. Absolutely wonderful, addicting and incredible, made that much better by the narrator. I am not one to right review that give any spoilers however in the words of Celaena Sardothien "What the rutting hell!" I can't believe I have to wait til 2017 for the conclusion of this series!

Slow and underwelming
Revisado: 07-27-16
I honestly I'm not sure if it was the book or whether I had too high of expectations. Almost after every purchase I made with other books this book was recommended to me so finally after passing it over time and time again I thought I'd give it a try. It did enough to keep my interest throughout the book and I absolutely love the narrator and her performance may be the reason why I made it through to the end. I didn't connect with any of the characters I wasn't personally emotionally invested and whether or not they succeeded or failed. I believe that throughout the story I was waiting for something bigger to happen then what actually did. The fact that Audible and Goodreads both suggested this book to me based on things I've purchased and liked made me press on throughout the course of the book and honestly may be the only thing that got me through it besides the fact it was read by one of my favorite narrators.

Brilliant & Captivating
Revisado: 08-06-15
This book is brilliantly written in every way. Victoria created incredible and captivating characters and created both a beautiful and horrifying world, both full of life and deadly. You feel what the main character feels. It is breathtaking. I cannot wait for a second installment. This first book has easily crossed into my top 5 favorite books. It is unlike any other, no comparison and no equal. So creative and imaginative it made me want to fall into the world she created. I found myself several time throughout the book thinking how absolutely brilliant the writing was. The narrator was smooth and delivered the performance flawlessly.

Wonderfully imaginative and entrancing
Revisado: 12-24-12
Would you consider the audio edition of Poison Princess to be better than the print version?
This book is wonderfully written, unbelievably creative, amazingly narrated, and overall breathtaking. From just the first few pages I was hooked. I didn't want to even pause it to go to bed. I just finished it and already I am craving the rest of this enticing series. I have never read or listened to anything like it. The story plot and characters are so unique and Kresley Cole not only makes the characters like able but also makes you so entranced by them that you feel like you truly know them and sympathize with them on a deep level. There is danger, fantasy, tarot, adventure, and love that makes this book a must read for any young adult. Just from this first book it has already found its way in my top 3 books of all time and that's saying a lot. Nothing is predictable. The end is the beginning and if you want to know how you must get this book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Evi of course but jack is also right up there. Characters you will fall in love with and yearn to know more about.
Which character – as performed by Emma Galvin and Keith Nobbs – was your favorite?
Evi since she narrated the book beautifully though the rid bits that Keith did was wonderful and well spoke.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Why change the tag line the book already has one suites to the book perfectly. The end is the beginning.
