Outstanding characters, fun plots, amusing one liners. narration excellent. buying the group is a great savings.

Cultural differences abound.

The narrators were great with alarge range of voices that fit the characters. There was was a believability they brought out as they spoke in the portrayals of the characters. It really brought more life to those characters.
Saying all tha,t there are some very explicit depictions in sex, fighting, and of course terrible monster creatures.

The continuing and shifting plot.

Well of course I missed real narrators, the AI is terrible. The thing pauses, at inappropriate time, gives questionable emphasis likewise. The author wrote one of the characters with a stutter. That, said each letter preceding the word was spoken as an alphabetic letter. Not as a stutterd word, a good narrator, (ie human) would have added life possibly empathy to the character.

Main Character's tenacity.

The graphic sexual encounters were minimal, and not a wash, rinse, repeat thing.
Narration was good though there was some dialect influence on a few words strange to me in their pronunciation. For instance Brazier pronounced as Brassiere.
Yes indeed it a keep to me. I found it overall to be a good listen

A modern man in ancient Nipon.

The constant fade to Marco Polo. He and the blind monks time with the Mongols. For me too much back story.
Really enjoyed the snarky AI and his hitching a ride in the hero's surgically implanted augmented CPU.
Personally I like to hear dual Narrators (man & woman) doing the male and female voices. Still the narrator was very good.
I have purchased both Audible recordings, 1&2 and the Kindle books too.

An honest perspective

The growth of the main character, being the Sword and given the opportunity and tools to change into plow shear. Excellent story with a solid message of self understanding.

The A.I. narration

Personally I prefer real narrators usually both male and female. the story was fun not realistic, but a fun story. so much so that I purchased the book.

Great Sci/To Space Opera?!

Absolutely could not put it down. Fore me every thing was spot on, narration, grammar, production, editing. Story line really engrossing..
Sadly book two is not yet in audible, never fear at least an ebook is available!

Great Characters

The narration use in male and female voice actors, really helped the story move right along. Personally I'm not a fan explicit sex scenes. Remember there is a feature that allows you too fast forward in most audio players those scenes or others you find objectionable.
Note too that I purchased both the Audible (book one so far) and Kindle books one and two (Looking forward to book three).
So five stars.
