I've been through so many books in this genre it's getting pretty hard to find ones that really hold my attention these days. I'll keep it short and sweet.. Great story, top notch narration and even though it's not super long it's definitely worth a credit if you go through zombie/post apocalyptic books like I do! In fact I save my credits for longer more expensive books and just pay for these type.. If you have all the Amazon subscriptions it's makes it the best way to go about it. Get the book version free most often, then add narration a greatly discounted price. 😉

Historia
The world as we know it, is destroyed when a regional conflict spins out of control, pulling other nations into the war...throwing millions of tons of dirt and ash into the atmosphere to block out the sun and create a nuclear winter. A small group of survivors from Illinois attempts to escape further south away from the deepening cold and increasing anarchy. Along the way, they discover that the true monsters are not the mutants of the wastes; instead the enemy that they must fear the most is their fellow man.

Historia
The bears were hungry and the panther was pacing her cage. It was supposed to be a fun field trip to the wild animal safari. It became a nightmare of blood. The zombie virus spread like wildfire and by noon, they were alone. Safe inside the fences, a group of school kids are the only survivors. Like the animals, they’ve lived their whole lives being cared for and fed, pampered, and loved. Now, they have to learn from each other how to survive, how to hunt, and how to kill.

Historia
The Containment Zone is a 500-mile radius surrounded by mountains and closed in by gates. No one can leave, and anyone who tries will die. Within are lawless bandits, corrupt soldiers, and once-human greyskins that hunt down people to spread the virus. Some say the Containment Zone is where the greyskin virus originated. Others say the people inside are little more than lab rats being studied by the nefarious Screven government. When 12-year-old Skylar and her father, Liam, are caught trying to escape, they are taken to Vulture Hill, a government prison camp no one has ever left alive.

Kept my attention!!
Revisado: 06-11-19
After reading so many fiction books and having nearly a thousand in my audible & kindle library it's become hard to find great ones that keep your attention all the way through! I wear bluetooth headphones non stop and listen all the time, even as I'm falling asleep. Which in turn has caused books that don't keep my attention, to cause me to fall asleep much quicker. Now, this book has kept me awake & listening even through the night. Those lately are few & far between. The story is great, the characters are well thought out and the narrator is excellent! Stacy Gonzalez doesn't seem too familiar to me and I also prefer male narrators but she is awesome! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fiction, especially of the apocalyptic, zompoc or even super hero type genre. I loved it and am leaving here to try and get the next in the series.. If it's out!
Sincerely written by, Ashelina

Must read!
Revisado: 12-27-18
I kept this title in my wishlist for a couple of years, or close. Finally, running out of decent reads, I decided to give this a try and boy am I glad I did! What an exciting story! I can't imagine how much time went into researching the facts but the author did so in a way as to be very exciting & understandable for even the most "unscientific" of people.
It keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat from the first few pages, all the way until the end! I don't believe I've heard these narrators before but they were top notch and will look out for their other works now. This is an excellent story and well fleshed out, I would recommend it to anyone, especially a lover of Science Fiction!

Historia
When news reports start appearing of a zombie outbreak in Ireland, B's racist father thinks it's a joke - but even if it isn't, he figures, it's ok to lose a few Micks. B doesn't fully buy into Dad's racism, but figures it's easier to go along with it than to risk the fights and abuse that will surely follow sticking up for Muslims, blacks, or immigrants. And when dodging his fists doesn't work, B doesn't hesitate to take the piss out of kids at school with a few slaps or cruel remarks. That is, until zombies attack the school.

Historia
The drought - or the Tap-Out, as everyone calls it - has been going on for a while now. Everyone’s lives have become an endless list of don’ts: don’t water the lawn, don’t fill up your pool, don’t take long showers. Until the taps run dry. Suddenly, Alyssa’s quiet suburban street spirals into a warzone of desperation; neighbors and families turned against each other on the hunt for water. And when her parents don’t return and her life - and the life of her brother - is threatened, Alyssa has to make impossible choices if she’s going to survive.

Worth any readers time!
Revisado: 10-13-18
I have followed Neal Shusterman ever since I came across the series "Unwind" a couple years ago (which is a must must read for dystopian & science fiction lovers!). If you enjoyed that series and writing style, you will like this book. For those of you that found the Unwind series a bit too cringy, you will not have a problem with Dry. I have a feeling this may be a stand alone and I hope that isn't the case. The only downside is that it ends so soon. The narration is very well done and the writing is great. If you're searching for a really good post apocalyptic read and are an adult (like me lol) that doesn't mind reading YA, then this is definitely the book for you (IMO). Even if you don't read any YA this is still an awesome read if you're looking for something in this genre. Overall I would recommend this book to any fiction lover!
Sincerely, ~Ashelina~ ;)
