Historia
In 1942 one young social worker, Irena Sendler, was granted access to the Warsaw Ghetto as a public health specialist. While she was there, she began to understand the fate that awaited the Jewish families who were unable to leave. Soon she reached out to the trapped families, going from door to door and asking them to trust her with their young children. She started smuggling children out of the walled district, convincing her friends and neighbors to hide them.

Extremely repetitive
Revisado: 11-04-24
I think they say "chat GPT 4" over 2000 times. It's in almost every sentence written. The repetition drowns out any beneficial info. If it was turned into a "when you hear" style drinking game then everyone would die. It's like nails on a chalkboard. Save your ears and just say NO!

Recently discovered this podcast and I feel like a significant portion of my life has just been explained by this person I've never met. Regardless of your diagnosis, or if you are in the caretaker roll, she has something for everyone. Her topics are informative, thoughtful, caring, honest, sometimes raw, and has just the right amount of personality spice.

Strong characters, superb narrator.

A good story with lots of twists. Zoey has a well defined character and you can follow her mentality clearly. Intriguing enough for me to to read the next book in the series. The narration was some of the best I've heard in 300+ hours of listening. Sound quality was level without any issues.

Marvelous story, narration was good
Revisado: 01-24-20
I liked the movie but as usual the book was 1000 times better. A marvelous and well planned revenge plot. Women were portrayed as very helpless and often fainting which wore on my nerves but that is a reflection of the time at which it was written.
The narrator had a wide range of tones for so many characters. However, several times young men were vocalized with an elderly tone which ended up being slightly confusing. Overall for a 52 hour book he did very well.
Sound quality was decent. There were noticeable changes in volume or pitch but only between chapters and never in the middle of one. There were no annoying sound effects or background music either.
