Historia
Dust Tracks on a Road is the bold, poignant, and funny autobiography of novelist, folklorist, and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston, one of American literature's most compelling and influential authors. Hurston's powerful novels of the South - including Jonah's Gourd Vine and, most famously, Their Eyes Were Watching God - continue to enthrall readers with their lyrical grace, sharp detail, and captivating emotionality.

Historia
As the old sailor's adage goes, a woman on board invites bad luck, a superstation that turned out to be true for the enemies of notorious pirates Anne Bonny and Mary Read. As quick to draw their cutlasses as they were to fall in love, Anne and Mary sailed the Caribbean leaving a trail of looted treasure, outfoxed law enforcement, and treacherous ex-lovers (suitably dealt with) in their wake. This series explores themes of equality, freedom, love and survival.

spell binding. I know so many intimate and historic details about so many characters in this swashbuckler.
look this review needs work. if God lets me live I will come back and rewrite. but listeners you need to listen to this book so I will blurt out as much as I can this morning.
I know how their mom loves them or doesn't. I have intimate knowledge about their bodies. I've seen governors get their deserved lashings until they beg for mercy, and beyond that.
in the same position as a place there so-called citizens under arrest and so called punish them by their so-called laws.
what their bodies look like. I know the difference in slang and accentuation from hackney to swell, and these in the UK empire speak and why they speak the way they do. I know the history between their loved ones or the ones they hate and and why.
True kismet for me: I am almost to the end of a recently published anthropological textbook book called [the true story of mutiny on the bounty].
This Amazon Original audiobook, HELL CATS collaborates seemingly so.
The cinematics . . . we need a word
The audiopromatics are SO WELL STAGED THAT
I am lost here in bed. Even now at 9:23 in my morning 🌅 with no audiobook within hearing,, I'm still on The Vanity. At harbour off A Scotch moor.
i need to start my day as w Americans say anyway
but writing this, trying my best before coffee to tell you why I'm stillon a ship in Captain's quarters with the TRUE PROTAGONIST* Mary Mark Reid* . I can't console her; there is no condolence for her particular present blank wall.
to be brutally honest. I have capacities for sexual realism, mentality to hold a dead child, practicality in bastardizing when bastardizing is the ONLY OPTION TO DRAW ON. Generating empetus is natural.
*there are several potential protagonists. ok,
This is a novel so rich, such depths REQUIRE a separate and different protagonist.
I'm going with Mary Reid.
*Reid that surname is not lost on me. this novel seems to be well researched as I said earlier the well researched history of the mutiny on the bounty and Captain Bligh is finally been revealed in a new textbook that I'm reading at the same time as this audiobook came along to me. Reid is the name of an official out of London who tried his best to keep the record of yellow journalism from absolutely abolishing a heroic Captain Bligh.
I wonder.

Historia
Dr. M. Scott Peck has inspired millions by combining the deepest insights of psychiatry with those of religion. In this first of a three volume audio series based on his best-selling book People of the Lie, Dr. Peck once again integrates religious teaching with the science of psychology as he offers hope for healing one of society's most persistent failings -- human evil.

These 3 books are ABRIDGED.
Revisado: 09-22-21
honestly I've read better works from from M Scott Peck.
honestly these three books are more preachy than inspiring he's examining people that don't know how to tell the truth and he does make some personal evaluations that there are people that are just 100% evil and that's all there is to it you know as I write this I'll give him another try but they are a bridge and I think that is the that is the conflict that I am having with these books and being a bridge and eight bucks a piece I feel I feel ripped off.
oh also I don't like the narrator he's not reading it like M Scott Peck wood tell it the pace of the books that I've read were more personal I mean I'm reading them to myself in my mind but this guy it's a little bit more like reading and encyclopedium I don't feel any compassion I feel like he's he's just reading and putting in a some inflection here and there.

Historia
Confucius knew all about life and told us how to behave, but we can't find out precisely what he was up to. His well-meaning platitudes, quaint maxims, and quasi-enigmatic anecdotes combined to produce an ideal philosophy for civil servants. It would appear that his aim was to turn his pupils into good government officials, but his teachings succeeded beyond his wildest expectations, providing rules of conduct and spiritual fodder for more than two thousand years.

Revisado: 09-18-21
this book introduces Confucius by giving a record of his birth and his training and how he just became a a person that people flocked to because he thought out of the box and his time culture needed a tune-up and Confucius was the one to do it and then comes another guy and then comes you know it all needs down to Gandhi but they're not related it's just each new era called for a new person to step up and follow the voice in their head and then at the end there is a nice long narration of many of Confucius sayings..

the narrator was excellent being a woman there there were times the narrator spoke for a man I love how the chapters are delineated each chapter is about sometimes four to six minutes sometimes 10 to 18 minutes and it just keeps you turning the page if you will.
there are 18 chapters I don't know how many words but it may seem long I don't know it's a long book but hard to put down.
the time is around 19 7 8 to 87
follows the lives of somewhere around 10 people but not really most of these 10 people are involved with the protagonist maybe for a couple of years each but it will those two or three years will be covered an exhaustive ways but simple ways. there's nothing really gross in this book although there are a couple of murders and a few terrible fights between family members and not family members. no look this is not sons of anarchy or anything close to that this is about a determination tenacity moving on holding on and at the same time moving on that can be done it this book embraces the ugly physical ugliness and soul evil ugliness it covers the small mind and the narrow myopic view of the world based on having gone nowhere. it's about the heavens astrologically speaking. it's a book about a girl interrupted from age eight to age 22.

What happens when something is sucked into a black hole? Does it disappear? Three decades ago, a young physicist named Stephen Hawking claimed that it did - and in doing so, put at risk everything we know about the fundamental laws of the universe. Leonard Susskind and Gerard 't Hooft realized the threat and responded with a counterattack that changed the course of physics.

Historia
F. Scott Fitzgerald makes antebellum Baltimore his setting for The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, a fantastical tale with some Poe-like overtones about a baby born at age 70 who then lives life in reverse, his hair turning "in the dozen years of his life from white to iron-gray, the network of wrinkles on his face becoming less pronounced". What ramifications that creates for Benjamin's relationship with his father first and then later with his wife and his own son makes for some fantastical situations.

Historia
In this unforgettable novel, Leonard Cohen boldly etches the youth and early manhood of Lawrence Breavman, only son of an old Jewish family in Montreal. Life for Breavman is made up of dazzling color - a series of motion pictures fed through a high-speed projector: the half-understood death of his father; the adult games of love and war, with their infinite capacity for fantasy and cruelty; his secret experiments with hypnotism; the night-long adventures with Krantz, his beloved comrade and confidant.

Golden Globe nominee Scarlett Johansson ( Lost in Translation, Girl with a Pearl Earring) brings a palpable sense of joy and exuberance to her performance of Lewis Carroll's enduring classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The young and imaginative Alice grows weary of her storybook, one "without pictures or conversations", and follows a hasty hare underground - to come face to face with a host of strange and fantastic characters.

Scarlet Johansson! a production of her family to be honest I don't think I have ever actually read The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland
No high school or University classes required reading The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland.
I enjoyed the narration of this really cute book the narrator really really is a good reader of this book clearly she enjoys the story and she has little voices for some of the characters the Cheshire cat the white rabbit and so on and her little mimicking of the characters is just so. Not overdone and not interfering with the story by distraction. I'm going to listen to it again over and over.
