Great conclusion to the prophecy! I can’t wait to hear the next part! I wonder why Sunny never told any of her friends that she was half nightwing?

So much better than the movie
Revisado: 08-12-23
I’ve always found books to be better than the movie but this was very good and (although a lot more gory and bad language) more involved plot. Also, the science is explored much more than the film.

This is an uncommonly new look at life after death and or at least between life and death. I found it very interesting and could hardly stop listening, even when I had to. LOL

A new story, still exciting and intriguing
Revisado: 10-24-21
I loved this book. Maybe more than the first one. I hesitated to get the sequel because some review said it was just exactly like the first book and they didn’t think it was original. I totally disagree. The story is completely new and original and yet retains the style and fascination of the first book. Very glad I got this!

Con: 2 girls falling in love Pro: Great plot
Revisado: 03-24-21
I wish I had known that this was a story about 2 teenage girls falling in love, because I probably wouldn’t have bought it. But that being said, interesting “what-if” concept and very good storytelling. I have stopped listening at chapter 8 just because the girls kissing doesn’t really line up with my understanding of the Bible. Also probably shouldn’t be in “children’s books” without a heads up to parents.

Historia
D-Day, June 6, 1944: the most expansive military endeavor in history. No less than world cooperation would bring down Hitler and the Axis powers. And so people - and kids - across the globe lent their part. From the young US soldiers in the boats to spies in the French countryside, the coordination of thousands came together. Alan Gratz, author of the New York Times best-selling Refugee, explores the necessity of teamwork and heroism in dismantling tyranny in this epic, yet personal, look at D-Day in time for the 75th anniversary of the operation.

Perfect for 6-8th grade and Mom too
Revisado: 10-16-18
I just finished listening to the audiobook of Her Universe. My daughter is homeschooled, and she’s in the sixth grade. She and I both loved listening to this book. We also got the book, in print, as it has lots of amazing pictures in it a d things to fill out. She loved reading along while we listened. My son is in 8th Grade and several times I noticed that he was listening and very interested as well. The art and photos in the book are also fun, magical and helpful. Meanwhile, I loved hearing both the story and the advice that is given.

Great story LOTS of bad language
Revisado: 05-03-18
I got this for my 13 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter to listen to before the movie came out, but my son turned it off while I was at work and texted me that “it has tons of bad words and some anti-Christian stuff, so we turned it off.” I was very surprised as much as he wanted to see the movie. So I listened to it myself.
The “anti-Christian” part was really more agnostic “there is no god” type talk. So I understood why he didn’t like that, plus he had his little sister there to think of.
But there really is a LOT of cussing and just kind of crassness and inappropriate discussions throughout.
As to the story, it’s good, very different than the movie. Much slower. You really have to know some 80s pop-culture to get into a lot of it, or be a movie/music/video game fanatic.
Overall I would recommend it for adults or older teens but it’s really not ok for younger ones.
