Historia
I should’ve known Lincoln Pierce was trouble from the moment I held my knife to his throat. I’ve been running for most of my life, hiding away in a small town and hoping no one discovers who I truly am. The only problem is that I can never let anyone know the real me. Or at least that was true until my brother moved his best friend onto our shared property. Now, I’m stuck trying to avoid the nosy billionaire’s probing questions and piercing stares. And it doesn’t help that I almost killed him the first time we met.

A beautiful story!
Revisado: 03-20-25
Arden’s story started with a gut-wrenching prologue. If you’ve read the previous books in this series you know she’s skittish around people and now we know why. Then enter Linc, who’s all up in her space with all his billionaire charm (or not!) and we got these two MCs clashing with lots of sexual tension. I love the Colsons and their protectiveness toward each other. Their group chat is funny too. And not to forget Lolli being Lolli was so hilarious. Also, for once I actually figured out mid way who the bad guy was!
Sebastian York is the perfect Linc! His voice makes me smile. I love Samantha Brentmoor’s voice too. Her male voice is great!

I slept with my trainer. And as it turns out, I’m not the only one. Apparently, he sleeps with all his clients. So I block him—the last thing I need is another a-hole in my life. Especially one as irresistibly charming and handsome as Ashton Vancroft. The catch? Three years later, our best friends, Emma and Marcus, get engaged, and we are both forced to play nice at their destination wedding in Florida. Is he really the self-centered playboy I’ve made him out to be? Or is there something more to this fitness-obsessed now-billionaire that I missed the first time around?

An enjoyable listen!
Revisado: 03-16-25
A fun story with a hilarious meet cute. Kendall & Ashton had many moments of hilarity and misunderstandings but their chemistry were off the charts from the start. Kendall’s parents were absolute hoots and Sir Ems was super adorable.
I love both narrators. Erin Mallon is always on point with her delivery of funny moments and makes me laugh out loud. Ryan West’s voice was smooth and very charming, so perfect for Ashton.

His passport read Giovanni Rossi. But decades ago, during the Urban Wars, he was part of a small, secret organization called The Twelve. Responding to an urgent summons from an old compatriot, he landed in New York and eased into the waiting car. And died within minutes… Lieutenant Eve Dallas finds the Rossi case frustrating. She’s got an elderly victim who’d just arrived from Rome; a widow who knows nothing about why he’d left; an as-yet unidentifiable weapon; and zero results on facial recognition.

Exciting and thrilling!
Revisado: 02-07-25
Book 60 and this series is still as exciting and thrilling as all the books before it. An intriguing story that takes us back to the Urban Wars where Summerset and his friends were involved in secret ops. There’s friendship, betrayal, & murder. And where there’s murder, there’s Lt. Eve Dallas. It’s fascinating to follow Eve and her way of solving a case. More fun as she recruits most of her detectives to help.
Susan Ericksen is definitely the voice of this series and really an exceptional narrator. With such a large cast of characters, everyone still has a distinct voice. My ears are always happy hearing her narrate this series.

Good story and awesome narrators!
Revisado: 01-28-25
This was so good! Performed by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt, this audiobook is definitely top notch! The pacing and tone, and the banter were delivered with such finesse. I would give the narration 100 stars if I could.
I’ve read almost all of Catherine Cowles’s books and I’ve loved them all. I love the small town, romantic suspense she writes but this one was exceptionally done well. The story started off tragic with the missing twin but from there the hilarious meet cute and meeting the townsfolk and the cute pets, I couldn’t put this book down. Not to mention the heroine, Ridley is a podcaster who travels the country trying to help solve cold cases. A very interesting career IMO. The grumpy town sheriff, Colt didn’t stay grumpy for too long once Ridley got into town. I love the sparks these two crested on the pages. The villain (I didn’t guess who tho til the end) was bad but got what he deserved in the end.

An emotional story with a bit of suspense!
Revisado: 11-26-24
An emotional story with a bit of suspense. Cope and Sutton are perfect for each other. Both having to overcome past trauma and in Cope’s case, letting go of guilt. Cope’s patchwork of siblings are hilarious with their group texting. And we can’t forget Lolli and all her ridiculousness but such a wonderful character.
Erin Mallon’s narration is always on point. She brings the characters to life with all the emotions and her male voice is one of the best.
Connor Crais have a pleasant voice but I’m still trying to get used to his style as it feels very monotone sometimes.

Thanks to my needy pet rat, I’m banned from working at all Florida theme parks. So what’s a person to do? Get a job as a mascot for a local hockey team, of course. I didn’t expect to get pushed into a pool on my first day by the grouchiest, hottest player on the team. Nor could I have imagined that we’d get locked into an evacuated building together and share an angry kiss that would get caught on video. Or that said video would go viral, sending ticket sales for our games through the roof.

Funny story!
Revisado: 11-16-24
While listening, I was either laughing out loud or smiling to myself. This story was hilarious! The heroine, Calliope has a quirky personality and her family was even more crazy. And her pet rats were the best! Michael on the other hand, was serious and grumpy but he gets points for adoring Calliope as she is.
Listening to any Erin Mallon’s narration makes my ears happy. She’s always in point with her performance of the heroine, especially those funny moments.
I haven’t listened to Ryan West much but I enjoyed his narration. He performed the grumpy and serious Michael very well. His voice is smooth and very nice to hear.

Unexpectedly becoming an heiress should've made all my problems go away, but instead, I have three new, huge ones: two giant tortoises and a lean, mean two-hundred-pound hockey player named Mason. He's as hot as he is insufferable, and he would've made a fine Viking if he hadn't been born in the wrong century. He wants to buy my hockey team, won't take no for an answer, and is willing to do anything to get his way… no matter how dirty he has to play.

Pucking Hilarious!
Revisado: 09-01-24
Misha Bell writes the most hilarious rom-coms.
The main characters are put in ridiculous situations and with the most unusual phobias which make for some hilarious scenes. Sophia & Mason starts off their relationship on bad terms but every interactions after their first meeting are funny and sexually charged. Their story was very entertaining.
Reading this book already had me in stitches but hearing Erin Mallon’s performance made it even more hilarious! Especially the pronunciations of Sophia’s last name and Mason’s phobia.
I think this might be my first listening to Ryan West. I like his voice.

Trust doesn’t come easily when you’ve been running for as long as I have, which is why moving in with a man I barely know is such a bad idea. Shepard Colson is all golden-boy charm and devastating good looks. But I know what it’s like to be taken in by easy smiles and the promise of forever—I have the scars to prove it.

Perfect mix of romance & suspense
Revisado: 08-30-24
I’m loving this new series. The right amount of romance & suspense. And Thea and Shep are a perfect match. They complement each other and together they helped one another overcome their past fears and guilt. The finale took an interesting turn but the outcome was satisfying nonetheless.
Erin Mallon’s narration is always on point and entertaining.

As they do each June, the Foxes have driven the winding roads of Appalachia to drop off their children for a two-week stay at their grandmother’s. Here, twelve-year-old Thea can run free and breathe in the smell of pine. But as her parents head back to suburban Virginia, they have no idea they’re about to cross paths with a ticking time bomb. Back in Kentucky, Thea and her grandmother Lucy both awaken from the same nightmare. And though the two have never discussed the special kind of sight they share, they know as soon as their tearful eyes meet that something terrible has happened.

Crazy Mind Games!
Revisado: 05-28-24
This book is aptly named as the final showdown between Thea and the villain was some crazy “mind games!” It was quite an exhilarating finale! The story started off with a sad beginning for Thea and her brother but with a wonderful family and tight knit community in her grandmother’s small town, they were able to move forward and forged a new future. Thea like her grandmother has some very awesome psychic abilities that at times I find cool but also cruel. Cruel in that she see things so vividly but is powerless to stop or intervene in what she sees and can only stand as a witness. However, Thea is such a strong protagonist, as young as she was when the story started, she always has a backbone and did not shy away from confronting the man that took her parents’ life.
All the supporting characters were wonderful and I wouldn’t mind having them as friends. Then there’s Tyler, the retired rockstar, with his super adorable kid. A hero and made family for Thea who deserves all the best. Again, Nora Roberts never disappoints!
A wonderful story made even better by an excellent narrator! I’m always amazed by January LaVoy’s solo performances. Every character has a different voice, makes it so easy to follow the story.

The scowl should’ve been my first clue to stay far away from Anson Hunt. The sexy smirk and the fact that he’s my brother’s best friend? Reasons two and three. Not to mention, he’s the new contractor working on my house. He’s everything I’m not: grumpy, rude, and more than a little attached to his solitude. It doesn’t matter how many times I try to kill him with kindness; the man simply won’t crack. Until he sees me shatter. Because when my world comes crashing down around me, Anson is the one catching me as I fall.

Good story, superb performances!
Revisado: 05-23-24
Good start to a new series. I love the small town setting, and the tight-knit family relationships Rhodes have with all her siblings even though they are not related by blood. As for Anson, I’ve been curious and intrigued about his story since he was introduced in the last series. And his story did not disappoint.
Anson and Rhodes together was perfect as they both have gone through similar trauma. The villain was scary and the overall mystery was interesting and kept me hooked to the story.
Superb performances by both narrators.
