Would you listen to Frat House Troopers again? Why?

The plot is so over the top that I just loved it. Don't go in expecting realism. The two main characters are super-hot. There's also a sense of humor in the writing that I appreciate.

Any additional comments?

I think this audio book was tiny bit too long. Editing down some of the minor characters would not be a bad idea.

Great story, but just a little bit too long

I like Brandon Witt's writing. His characters are believable and likable. He really creates a full world. I've listened to this book more than once. What would make this book even better would be more judicious editing. It drags in places and I think if it was 60 to 90 minutes shorter nothing would be lost.

Would you try another book from Heidi Cullinan and/or Iggy Toma?

I understand this is a romance novel and everyone needs a tragic flaw or two, but Heidi Cullinan saddled nerdy Adam with so many problems and anxiety it made it impossible for me to believe that Denver would like him. I stopped listening about 1/3 through.

What does Iggy Toma bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Iggy Toma is one of the top two or three narrators that I've listened to. Always excellent.

One of my favorites

If you could sum up Fast Connection in three words, what would they be?

This is a well-paced, believable, realistic, and very hot story.

What other book might you compare Fast Connection to and why?

Santino Hassell's writing style is very contemporary. Seems more rooted in real-life than many other authors of this genre. If I had to pick favorites, it would be Santino, Riley Hart, and Jay Northcote.

I look forward to his next audiobook!

Actually a YA novel with a M/M sub-plot

Would you try another book from Rick R. Reed and/or Michael Pauley?

I would not purchase another book by this author.

What was most disappointing about Rick R. Reed’s story?

This is really a Young Adult novel with a poorly developed M/M subplot. The one sex scene seems like it was written by someone who find gay sex distasteful. The angst ridden teen is really the main character.

Nice Short Story

Where does Cold Feet rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I think this is one of the better stories I've listened to. The short length means the story focuses on the two main characters.

Have you listened to any of Matthew Lloyd Davies’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to a few of MLD's narrations. Always a top notch performance.

Odd Choice of Narrator

What did you love best about Nothing Serious?

It's a good story with believable characters.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

His narration was fine, but this is a story based in England with British slang. Sounds odd when spoken by an American.

Just stick to the print/Kindle version of this one.

Really liked it except for one thing

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I thought the story was great, I just could not get past the way the character Ru was voiced.

What didn’t you like about K.C. Kelly’s performance?

The way the speaker voiced Ru was off-putting. Yes, Ru is gay. But did the speaker need to make Ru sound so very mincing? Ru sounds like some homophobe's idea of what gay men sound like.
