I went into this book with expectations that it was going to be a so so thriller and I was totally ok with that but HOLY COW that was fabulous. I really didn't expect some of those twists and turns.

facinating

Facinated by different apocalyptic scenarios and even more so by aliens, this series is right up my ally and this particular scenario is very close to what I imagine would happened to humanity if we really did have extra terrestrials on earth.
I also loved these characters and the ending was quite the cliff hanger but of course the rest of the series isnt included in audible membership along with book 1 so I begrudgingly must wait to see what happens!

loved all the life lessons taught to the pilgrims, all of us should be able to relate to at least one of them. for some reason after a while it got a little slow and it was hard to keep my attention focused.

For some reason I had an expectation that this was going to be some sort of who done it thriller novel and I am SO glad I was wrong. Though I will say that the end did still shock me and was a twist in its own right.

What an incredible heartbreaking and emotional novel with really rich and complex characters. It takes a lot to make me cry, but cry I did right at the very end.

I don't understand why some people have bashed this story, it was interesting and heartwarming with a nice twist and satisfying end result. Good stuff for a short story.

what a wild ride that was. Everything I made a guess I was quickly proven wrong. Phoebe was wonderfully complex and what a well thought out page turner.

Sort of interesting but not exactly clear how this chick truly related to or could have prevented the Oklahoma bombing, there was no clear connection that I could see however I did like the individual interviews, news clips, etc. gave it a real TV documentary feel.

better than I expected

wow, that was way better than I expected. I sort of kind of guessed some of the plot twists but overall I was still pleasantly surprised, especially at the end. Solid thriller!

unique stories? as if!

My 1st admission is I went into this completely blind, I had no idea what to expect from this anthology except that every story had the same 1st line and each author had their own creative way with it.

Let me take a step back and praface with I'm usually not into romance, it makes my eyes roll out of my head. sometimes I'm surprised and a romance gets me but usually? um no

Ok, so my 2nd admission is that I skipped through 3 stories, maybe 4? because out of 30 stories at least 75% of them were about the same exact thing... "I love my best friend but I'm afraid to tell them or they're about to get married" blah blah blah. There was a point I almost DNF the entire thing and rating it a 2 because it was so excessive.

Now the good news... there are some genuinely good short stories here. Yes, they may be the minority but they carry the anthology out of the "I just wasted 20 hours of me life" zone. And I'll admit, there were a select few romances that played out really well and Colleen Hoover really pulled it out in the end, Solid finish, Colleen.
