What a Rollercoaster!

I am making my way to book 4 of 5 of this series but had to stop to write the review. I AM EXHAUSTED....the emotional Rollercoaster of this book has left me crying and completely tattered. The heartache of Pim and Elder's journey is on full display. I literally cried several times during book 4. I love how the author incorporated the characters from her earlier series and it was a great addition. I have to go to book 5 now and hope my heart can heal and find Pim and Elder's HEA.

Dirty Ugly Toy is a novel that blurs the lines of right and wrong, deals with abuse, contains dubious consent, and adult subject matter. If you are sensitive to violent sexual situations, the book may not be suitable for you. Some parts of this book are not easy to hear and are not intended for everyone. However, those that keep an open mind and stick with it will not be disappointed.

Captivating

I was reluctant to read this book and have had it on my TBR list for months. However, I read some great reviews and dove right in and was hooked after the first chapter. The story is full of emotions, sadness, anger, bliss and eventually love. The male narrator was great but in my opinion the story would have been told even better with a female co-narrator. No cliff hangers, the story was fluid and character development was on point. I enjoyed how the story was told through the eyes of the main characters at multiple ages which put so much of their pain into perspective. Lastly, the sex scenes were hot and detailed and I thoroughly enjoyed them. WARNING! The author does explain that this book has triggers for some people, heed the warning if this applies to you.

This book was definitely not a slow burn. This book was hot and full of action. The character development was paced with the story which kept me on my toes and engaged. I have yet to read an Amelia Hutchins book that I did not love! Waiting for book 2!

So much heat!

After I read the entire series I felt fulfilled. The story was equally interesting as the characters and their higly sexual chemistry. Talk about steamy scenes....wowza! I enjoyed all four books, but Fake was my favorite, as it finally brought the pieces together. I would highly recommend the entire series if RH and dark romance is your thing.
