Worthless waste of time to read this piece of racist propaganda… It was so predictable. I skipped about five chapters and picked up exactly where I thought the story was going… Not worth the virtual voice narration that was spent on this completely predictable book.

Historia
By the spring of 1970, American troops were ordered to pull out of Vietnam. The Marines of First Reconnaissance Battalion, commanded by Lieutenant Colonel "Wild Bill" Drumright, were assigned to cover the withdrawal of First Marine Division. The Marines of First RECON Bn operated in teams of six or seven men. Heavily armed, the teams fought a multitude of bitter engagements with a numerically superior and increasingly aggressive enemy. Michael C. Hodgins served in Company C, First RECON Bn (Rein), as a platoon leader. In powerful, graphic prose, he chronicles his experience.

Historia
America's first frontier was not the West; it was the sea, and no one writes more eloquently about that watery wilderness than Nathaniel Philbrick. In his best-selling In the Heart of the Sea, Philbrick probed the nightmarish dangers of the vast Pacific. Now, in an epic sea adventure, he writes about one of the most ambitious voyages of discovery the Western world has ever seen - the US Exploring Expedition of 1838-1842.

Historia
Atz Kilcher learned many vital skills while helping his parents carve a homestead out of the Alaskan wilderness: how to work hard, think on his feet, make do, invent, and use what was on hand to accomplish whatever task was in front of him. He also learned how to lie in order to please his often volatile father and put himself in harm's way to protect his mother and younger, weaker members of the family. Much later in life, as Atz began to reflect on his upbringing, seek to understand his father, and heal his emotional scars, he discovered that the work of pioneering the frontier of the soul is an infinitely more difficult task.

The unforgettable forgotten soldier
Revisado: 03-26-21
This was one of the most riveting accounts of World War II that I have ever read. The journey and miraculous survival of a German soldier and his unit was exquisitely told. The depiction of the horrors of war was palatable. The vulnerability of the human soul and the circumstances Love in wartime.I give this book my highest recommendation to anyone with an interest in World War II true stories. Every word is placed like a precious gemstone till the very end.
