Lilith and Adam are equal and happy in the Garden of Eden. Until Adam decides Lilith should submit to his will and lie beneath him. She refuses—and is banished forever from Paradise. Demonized and sidelined, Lilith watches in fury as God creates Eve, the woman who accepts her submission. But Lilith has a secret: she has already tasted the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge. Endowed with Wisdom, she knows why Asherah—God's wife and equal, the Queen of Heaven—is missing. Lilith has a plan: she will rescue Eve, find Asherah, restore balance to the world, and regain her rightful place in Paradise.

What a load of Horseshit
Revisado: 04-02-25
I honestly tried to finish it, but found it too unplatable. It was worth much less than the $6 I paid for it. I can almost envision the author laughing at the stupid people who actually paid $ for her worthless drivel 🫤

Self-righteous and pompous
Revisado: 03-29-25
I wanted to love this book, as I loved The Chronicles of Narnia! But, sadly, I did not. I struggled and struggled to listen, to like it, but found it to be grandiose and pompeously wordy. He loved his own intellect. The gospel According to C. S. Lewis, is bogged down with so many details and endless rules and requirements that it seems literally impossible for any one person to accomplish living it. Yet, after all that, he claims it is simple and uncomplicated! I do not believe there was a humble bone in his body! Wherever he is now in the spirit realm, ✨️ I believe that he now understands 🙏🏼 what he did not, (yet purported to) understand here in this life.

It is the most famous military installation in the world. And it doesn't exist. Located a mere s75 miles outside of Las Vegas in Nevada's desert, the base has never been acknowledged by the US government - but Area 51 has captivated imaginations for decades. Annie Jacobsen had exclusive access to 19 men who served the base proudly and secretly for decades and are now aged 75-92, and unprecedented access to 55 additional military and intelligence personnel, scientists, pilots, and engineers linked to the secret base, 32 of whom lived and worked there for extended periods.

Narrator mispronounced names
Revisado: 03-07-25
The subject matter was excellent. The narrator was mostly excellent, except for her repeated mispronounciation of the name of the State of "NEVADA". I actually wondered if she was a foreigner who spoke English as a second language, because, come on now... How can a citizen of the United States of America mispronounce "Nevada"?? I have spent all of my life in the Western U.S. and have only heard it pronounced correctly. It is pronounced "Ne-vaa-da (rhymes with bad-a). She constantly called it "Ne-vah-da" (like a french speaking person) It got so irritating for me that my only relief to the assault on my ears was to turn the damn thing off.
On the other hand, I really liked the subject matter, so I am frustrated about it. Also, I wasted my money on it!! Ugh

C. S. Lewis's dazzling allegory about Heaven and Hell - and the chasm fixed between them - is one of his most brilliantly imaginative tales, where we discover that the gates of Hell are locked from the inside. In a dream, the narrator boards a bus on a drizzly afternoon in Hell and embarks on an incredible voyage to Heaven. Anyone in Hell is invited on board, and anyone may remain in Heaven if he or she so chooses. But do we really want to live in Heaven?

The True Nature of Both Heaven and Hell Might Surprise You.
Revisado: 07-27-24
This was a surprising delight! I loved it! ✨️💖✨️ I won't go into details, but this reminds me of some of Anne Rice's works regarding the visions and travels of Lestat between Heaven and Hell... It's very similar in style, and makes you think just as much. So, this surprising story is extremely thought provoking, and wonderful.

The One Change That Can Change Everything in Your Life! What if you could change your life…just by changing who you spend time with? That’s the premise and the promise of this powerful book. You’ve probably heard the famous truism that “You are the average of the five people you spend time with.” But has anyone ever provided you with a clear and practical plan to proactively choose and pursue those five key relationships? Or a strategy to gracefully remove negative influences from your inner circle? Almost certainly not. Until now! In The Law of Association, John & Judy O’Leary ...

Good Subject Matter
Revisado: 07-27-24
I liked that it was about gaining financial and other successes in life by following the old simple rule which is based on the Law of Attraction:
You become your 5 closest associates.
You are attracted to like minded individuals. If you are not like them already, you will eventually become them. So, use this principle to consciously choose to associate with those whom you admire and have qualities that you are seeking to cultivate within your own life.
I love the basic premise of the book! However, there are a couple things that grate on my nerves:
#1. I am greatly annoyed by an Artificial Intelligence Narrator. I kept thinking about it, and my frustration with that caused me to lose focus on subject matter. Eventually, I was able to relax into the book and not think about the extremely IMPERSONAL nature of an A.I. narrator of a book about self-improvement and a relationship with Jesus.
#2. I tend to resent it anytime I perceive anyone being so pious and self-righteous as this woman comes across as being. She does have some good points, however, I kept thinking: "Oh my god, I would HATE to be that woman's children! If there are ever any questions about policies and procedures, just ask Judy, and she'll ask God for us, then we'll all be enlightened by the correct answer that she receives."
(That's a little too much bullshit for moi.)
I would love to hear of this same principle taught without so much Bible-Thumping!

Extremely Enjoyable Listen
Revisado: 06-17-24
I have been searching Audible for years trying to find the Wise Child book series, but was always disappointed. But, recently, after an hiatus of many months, I opened up the Audible app to try and find something that would strike my fancy, when I became aware of "Wise Child", "Juniper", and "Colman" staring back at me! I quickly found all 3 😁 books, bought them all, made a Playlist and deposited them. I have finished the first two, and am now ready to open the last one.
I promise you, these books are even better for being produced into audiobook form! I thoroughly enjoyed listening to them. This treasured story is very enjoyable, and captures my imagination! The narrator's voice is pure joy to listen to with her captivating English accent! I highly recommend listening to this book series!

We love the Land, but does the land Love Us?
Revisado: 12-08-23
I loved this book almost completely ❤️
There was a section I did not love towards the end where she describes the attributes of the Wendigo, and then speaks directly to it. It felt a little like hatred of the entire race that spawned the colonization of America. It made me feel very uncomfortable in a sense that she defined them against us. Not cool, in a book that was very careful to espouse the principles of inclusive love and mutual respect.
I did like how she explained that in the time of the 7th fire, people of all nations would join together in an effort to save rhe planet from destruction... leading into the times of peace, with all being living and working together in harmony with the planet exercising restraint in commercialisn with policies of healthy land management. And all beings walking with spirit.
Perfect vision, Beautiful imagery. Loveing relationships all around with all other beings, all our relations; the four-legged, the winged, those relatives that swim in the waters 💧

Somewhere on the frontier between thought and reality exists the Discworld, a parallel time and place that might sound and smell very much like our own, but which looks completely different. Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Outlandish
Revisado: 11-29-23
I loved the imagination that was used to create this story and I loved the narrator, who tirelessly read the story as I imagine was just about perfect 🥰 I loved the subject matter. However, this story was so weird and outlandish that I had to force myself to listen. I felt at times like I was forcing myself to listen because although the story itself was crazy, I did somewhat care about the characters! So, I forced myself to listen. Then, when abrupt ending happened, I was so upset with myself at forcing myself to listen! It's a crazy 🤪 concoction of too weird for words improbable, course of action that eventually made me angry that I even wasted my time. Yuck 🤮 I hated this book!
