Yes, we have been conned! Over 100 years ago, very clever and dishonest European bankers foisted the Federal Reserve banking system on America. Since that time, they have robbed us of trillions of dollars, engaged us in unnecessary wars so that they could make extra profits, killed or maimed a generation of Americans in wars every twenty years or so, and robbed many of us of the American dream. Our book explains it all. "You must understand the problem before you can solve it" We have all heard this before. Now, this really makes sense when you realize that this is how we have been conned; ...

Are you ready to understand the difference between the middle-class and the wealthy? Year over year, we pay our bills and funnel money into the stock market, hoping that one year, we will see the return of a lifetime, which we think will make us rich. While that’s happening, the wealthy are ignoring those rules and instead putting their money to work for them - they are their own bank. With the strategies explained in this book, you can become your own bank and achieve financial freedom.

This is not what the wealthy do. This is a life insurance sales pitch. So much false information in this cringe book.

If you want to hear more about slavery and oppression, this book is for you. If you want to read about how to become wealthy, there are many better options. Using P Diddy as a shining example did not age well.

Historia
A distinctive new voice: Rex Ogle's story of starting middle school on the free lunch program is timely, heartbreaking, and true. Free Lunch is the story of Rex Ogle's first semester in sixth grade. Rex and his baby brother often went hungry, wore secondhand clothes, and were short of school supplies, and Rex was on his school's free lunch program. Grounded in the immediacy of physical hunger and the humiliation of having to announce it every day in the school lunch line, Rex's is a compelling story of a more profound hunger - that of a child for his parents' love and care.

The author seems very passionate about this topic I did. It realize it was an advertisement for gold until a good bit in, and the Biden story was funny yet scary.

A few mistakes?
Revisado: 10-17-23
Some good info but two things stood out:
Car loans are good debt because a car is an asset.
Luxury car drivers stop at crosswalks 4 times less than regular car drivers because rich people care less about consequences.
A car you drive is not an asset. Driving a luxury car does not make you rich. I could not take the rest of the book serious after those two asinine statements.

Historia
Analyzing the political and banking history of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil through several centuries, Fragile by Design demonstrates that chronic banking crises and scarce credit are not accidents due to unforeseen circumstances. Rather, these fluctuations result from the complex bargains made between politicians, bankers, bank shareholders, depositors, debtors, and taxpayers.

Historia
Erin Skye Kelly wrote Get the Hell Out of Debt after her own struggle to become consumer-debt free. She was tired of listening to middle-aged men in suits tell her to consolidate and refinance her debt when all that seemed to happen was she’d end up in more of it while they profited from it. When Kelly figured out the two most important tools to money management - and started achieving massive results- other women wanted to join in on the debt-free journey. With her sense of humor and straight-shooting sensibilities, Erin began transforming lives.

This was painful
Revisado: 12-06-22
She read Dave, Tony, and Robert, and tried to recreate it using her own unfunny, not clever, feminist voice. She tries too hard to be funny, which she is not, and she thinks cursing is cool the way a 48 year old male talking about getting wasted every weekend is cool. She emasculates her husband in one of her lame Friends jokes, and her whole presence is just annoying. After listening to her talk for 8 hours, I see why she was ghosted by her dream guy because he would rather be skiing.

Disappointing and Contradictory

This was the worst financial book I have read in a long time. Flat out lies and horrible advice. An actual comparison from the book: If high risk equals high reward then why not throw a two year old who can’t swim in a pool and walk away. Terrible writing.
