Good enough to listen to several times
Revisado: 11-13-18
What a great story with a twist. A young writer begins a relationship with a famous writer only to find out that the best story is her own life. We get to journey back in time to hear that story and find all the characters feel as real as if they were sitting next to you.
A warm and unique story with many qualities that bring the listener closer to answers and then surprise them with new information.
Worth the listen and another listen at a later date. Only one other book has held me spellbound as this one did.

Historia
Sue Grafton's X: Perhaps her darkest and most chilling novel, it features a remorseless serial killer who leaves no trace of his crimes. Once again breaking the rules and establishing new paths, Grafton wastes little time identifying this sociopath. The test is whether Kinsey can prove her case against him before she becomes his next victim.

In the confusion that followed, the keys to the vault's safe-deposit boxes were lost.

She's offered an opportunity to work at a legal aid clinic for one year without pay, after which there would be a slim chance that she'd get her old job back. A True Lesson in Strip Mining!
Revisado: 11-27-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Gray Mountain to be better than the print version?
My eyes are not what they used to be and I listen to many audio editions. I think they are written, directed and produced very well and am very happy to have happened on audio books on tape in it's infancy.
Who was your favorite character and why?
I loved the older woman who did not want her mountain made into rubble.
Which scene was your favorite?
When the main character decided to stay and help people who needed her.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
THEY ARE TEARING DOWN MOUNTAINS!!!
Any additional comments?
This book brought to light a great deal about coal mining that I was not aware of. I lived in West Virginia in the early 50's and buried my Grandmother there in 1976. To think that some of those beautiful mountains no longer exist because the coal industry does not do it's job in reclamation, make my heart ache.

Revisado: 11-27-14
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I have and will continue to recommend any of Michael Connelly's writings. Characters are
realistic. They get into difficulties, worry about each other and find solutions in often unique manners.
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
All of Michael Connelly's novels keep you guessing. Through the introduction of many
characters, situations, and conflicts.
Which scene was your favorite?
Not one scene, the introduction of a new partner, gives the main character a new
perspective to his work.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
