I really struggled to get through this one. The storyline was cliche and so boring. Not sure if it was the narrator but Evie sounded a bit whiny and pathetic. Matt's accent also didn't suit his character.

The virtual voice is awful. The story starts of with the main male character who is supposed to be the hero being physically abusive towards the main female character under the guise of interrogating her and using interrogation techniques. Put me off completely and I stopped listening

I couldn't get past chapter 6.

It starts out OK but then jumps to present day and the story feels like there is a huge gap with very little being properly explained. It also feels like the author is trying to make the story hot and exciting with the bdsm club and everyone being into it but it fails completely for me.

The story started out exciting but then slowed down and became boring. The narrator was good in reading the narratives but the dialogue was read terribly and his voices were awful, especially Sarah's. The whole time we are told how brave Sarah is but she came a cross as a bit whiny and a bit irritating, definitely not kick ass and brave. It was OK. I struggled to finish it.

I struggled to get through this one. Ended up speeding up the reading speed just to get through it. The writing was corny melodramatic, the book could have been half the length if it wasn't for writing like "the waves were rough... So rough" or "the light was bright.... Too bright". As for the characters, there were no decent character development and they were flat. Gabe was supposedly a seal before but he might as well have been an accountant before, that's how little of the seal background came through in his character and actions. As for Eve, she is supposedly this strong woman who escaped from a serial killer but most of the time she came across as fairly weak with a lot of lovers in her past. I didn't like either Gabe or Eve very much, they didn't make me want to root for them. And the story was predictable if you read or listen to a lot in this genre. I knew halfway through who the killer was. Overall not worth a credit or the time

I have read 10+ books by this author as I enjoy this genre but think this is my last. Every book is the starting to be the same, I can't even recall the different stories or distinguish characters anymore. Ex military hero, female with baggage who needs saving, love at first sight (so unrealistic especially when one of the characters has commitment issues that miraculously disappear, actually comes across as a form of Stockholm syndrome as a result of the FMC's issues), bad guy after female main character, male main character save her, live happily ever after.

This one was so boring. Female MC is in her 30s but emotionally a teenager and so oblivious of her issues which is impossible in today's world.

Not worth a credit if you have read any of the other books

This is my 3rd book by this author. I really enjoyed the first 2 but this one was disappointing.

I found Sophia's character really boring. We weren't given enough of a background on her for me to really get a feel for her and get invested in the character. It says she is ambitious but I didn't get energy and drive from the character. Also, if she was really career driven and ambitious she wouldn't even consider getting involved with Issac, but she just fell into his lap. Her dialogue was also cringy at times. She also seemed a bit naive and immature at times.

Isaac's character was ok.

It also seemed implausible that Percy, who is from a wealthy high society family, would have married a small town girl with no pedigree, unless she was his one great love. Yet you can tell his feelings were lukewarm towards Sophia, that his family didn't really approve, and he cheated on her.

I didn't feel any chemistry between the characters the flirting was also meh. Overall, very disappointing. Don't waste a credit

After struggling to get through the 1st book in the series, I decided to give this book a shot.... What a mistake!

The plot is absolutely ridiculous. I like some hot sex scenes in these types of books but this book is almost nothing but sex. Even though the recipe was exactly the same as the first book in the series (instant lust between hot secret agent and attractive rich guy, which after a couple of days turns into a serious relationship even though one of the parties never wanted a relationship but suddenly change their lives/minds/convictions/emotional baggage overnight), it didn't start out too bad but then the plot turned completely ridiculous. Lust dust that makes people want to have sex all the time?

The characters were a bit odd and didn't resonate with me and then the ridiculous plot in top of that, turns this book into drivel.

Don't waste your time or a credit!
