The story jumps right off the page!

Did you hear the tires squeal, cause this story just took off in a hurry! If you like fast pace and fast action, this book is for you! Smith crafts his story with careful consideration to characters. I enjoy the good guys and bad guys and you'll love as Adrian Smith moves this story along with an adrenaline push. I also enjoyed the location of Japan. Lived there and so it was like revisiting an old friend. This is a great listen and Corkhill did a fantastic job with his many voices. Looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend.

Nicholas Sansbury Smith just continues to get better and better - and that's saying a lot since his other works are some of my all-time favorite novels. You have a coin, on each side is an Italian family, good on one side (Salvatore), bad on the other (Moretti) Los Angeles is their battle ground. It is the age-old struggle between good and evil. It's a book that just tells a great story, with nonstop action. It doesn't bore you with irrelevant details that try to impress the reader – Sons of War is a well-crafted, straight-forward and focused story that will keep you captivated. Smith has stepped out of his comfort zone and is telling a new story, a great story. He has taken a post-apocalyptic story and put his own spin on it. Original and engaging. I enjoyed every minute of it!

A wonderful story with lots of adventure

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little different and had some surprises. The characters were well fleshed out and engaging. It was interesting to listen to the native speaking parts, I really enjoyed that and sounded authentic. It was so good that I listened to the book nearly straight through. I think I have read all of Mr. Ison's books and I'm never disappointed. I would highly recommend this book.

What an interesting listen, it is a wonderfully suspenseful story. Deliciously evil. Like most of us, we are stuck in a rut, I think after listening to the book, I'll enjoy my rut a lot more. (Spoiler- I'm glad this book ended the way it did, Very reminiscent of Stephen King's style.) I like that it pulled you into the story. Very well done and great job on weaving a wonderful story.
