I got pulled into this story about a family and the love that keeps them together and that pulls them apart. Vandy, Rani, and Mallika each had their own struggles and experiences to work through, which were conveyed well by the author and the narrator.

This was a fun short story as Audrey tries to remember what happened and Theo helps her find a missing groom. It made me smile. It was definitely a night to remember.

Loved this sweet short story

Abby Jimenez is one of my favorite authors. This story reminds me that kindness matters, especially the same things.

One of my favorite lines is:
“Take responsibility for your own unhappiness. If you don’t love your life, change it.” I hope you love your life.

I enjoyed this short story, which felt like a section of a larger story. I felt like something was missing, perhaps more character development to get into the story. Overall, it was a good read.

Another winner from Lily Chu

I enjoyed this story as Dee steps out of her comfort zone and rose-colored view of the world to do what's just and help others. This was a fun read to escape with. Phillipa Soo is a great narrator and captures the essence of the characters,
It was fun to also catch up with characters from Lily's other books.

Loved this story about how to live

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig is staying with me as an insightful and compelling lesson about how to live. This is one of those books that I can read multiple times and get something different from each experience. It reminded me that there are many possibilities in life, not just the one you are experiencing in the current moment. Some are better than others, happier than others, harder than others.

In the Midnight Library, Nora chips away at the regrets and limitations around her life. From each life Nora tries, she learns more about herself, the choices she made, and that she is capable of doing more than she thinks she can. She figures out what her best life is and how she can live those other lives in her. She is not limited by her past experiences.

This book made me feel vulnerable and alive, open to possibilities and uncertainty, curious about other lives I could be living. After reading this book, I felt hope and a sense of belonging in the present moment. Life is full of moments of joy, pain, struggle, growth, connection to others, and courage to keep moving forward.
