I love Sonali Dev’s books. This one is by far my most favorite. I really enjoyed all the characters and the story. It was hard to put it down! I kept wanting to keep reading! I was sad to finish it, I wanted it the story to not end.

Really enjoyed this. Interesting story and fun character development. And I love learning a little about India with each book.

I got pulled into this story about a family and the love that keeps them together and that pulls them apart. Vandy, Rani, and Mallika each had their own struggles and experiences to work through, which were conveyed well by the author and the narrator.

I thought I knew what was coming but I was pleasantly surprised. Liked seeing the connections amongst the characters over time.

Beautifully written about friendship, sisterhood, love and family. I love the journey of life between these two ladies. It warms my heart to see what people are willing to do for each other.

Two young girls from different background grow up to be closer than blood sisters until one of them sacrifices that friendship to have a baby. the story is told from the perspective of three women- the two friends and the daughter. while the premise is good and the plot develops at a steady state, the the ending seems too neat & tidy.

I hate it when Sonali’s books are coming to an end! I hate that I have to wait for another one! I’ve listened to every last one of her books. They bring me so much solace during my night time routine with my kids, during cleaning/picking up my house. I’ve fallen in love with all of her characters. When I think, “oh, that was my favorite book”, then I listen to another and I’m like, “oh… no, THIS is my favorite one”. Pardon me while I go ahead and re-listen to ALL of her books while I wait for Sonali to write another one! Thank you so much! 💗 Lastly, Soneela is such a GREAT narrator!
