Tired o indictments of America as racist, unjust..
Revisado: 03-16-25
Handpicked cases that are meant to illustrate Americas struggle with its disproportionately incarcerated Black population as a matter of institutional racism, as opposed to the sad reality that poverty is the driving force behind the random cases .

Historia
In early 2000, Adnan Syed was convicted and sentenced to life plus thirty years for the murder of his ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee, a high school senior in Baltimore, Maryland. Syed has maintained his innocence, and Rabia Chaudry, a family friend, has always believed him. By 2013, after almost all appeals had been exhausted, Rabia contacted Sarah Koenig, a producer at This American Life, in hopes of finding a journalist who could shed light on Adnan’s story. In 2014, Koenig's investigation turned into Serial, a Peabody Award-winning podcast with more than 500 million international listeners.

Obviously biased towards a convicted murderer.
Revisado: 03-12-19
Not that this author is profiting from the tragedy of a poor murder victim, which happens frequently. The issue here is the clear violation of nasic forensic concepts in clever ways. As slanted as it gets towards the murderer.

Mrs Pearl shouldn't have narrated this great book.

An otherwise wonderful story told in an extremely thick French accent, best suited for a romance perhaps

I am niw able to ezplain away all kinds of inconsistencies that plague the darker corners of the Bible, particularly the N.T. which is supposed to base itself on the Old Testament with mathematical precision.

Went to school with him, extremely sad story but very well told. It examinesbthe depths of the soulless many, driven by nothing more than superfluous impulses.

A love story between eternal best friends.
Revisado: 02-29-16
The author opens a window into an all-American suburban family whose happy, productive lives are brutally interrupted by a psychopath. My favorite part was how Sharon does a great job of humanizing Lacy, and all victims for that matter. My least favorite thing about this story is how poor Sharon so often refers to the "Scott that we knew and loved would never kill Lacy..". Of course he was never the "Scott we knew", he was never normal to begin with. . he couldn't have been.
