A sweet story of how a family learned to love, get along, and what matters most. Not too many characters but enough to round out the story.

Convoluted storyline with a good bit of unnecessary background noise. Not a terrible story. Kinda cliche though.

Good information. Bad narration.
Revisado: 05-17-24
There’s a lot of excellent information in here. The AI voice leaves a lot to be desired. “Autism” is pronounced “odd-ism” and took me several times to figure out what was being said. “Read” that should’ve been pronounced “red” was pronounced “reed”. Several other words were mispronounced as well, badly enough that I never did figure out what was being said. It was frustrating because it detracts from the information being presented. The cadence of the speech was often unnatural, irregular, or uneven.

What’s not to love about Dolly?? My only real complaint about this is that when it goes from her talking to music being played, the music MUCH louder than the spoken volume, especially on some of her rowdier tracks. The story is great.

Killer Triggers

Historia
The most common triggers for homicide are fear, rage, revenge, money, lust, and, more rarely, sheer madness. This isn’t an exact science, of course. Any given murder can have multiple triggers. Sex and revenge seem to be common partners in crime. This book offers my memories of homicide cases that I investigated or oversaw. In each case, I examine the trigger that led to death. I chose this theme for the book because even though the why of a murder case may not be critical in an investigation, it can sometimes lead us to the killer.

Lt. Kenda’s deadpan approach combined with his wicked, dry sense of humor shines through in this book. His empathy, compassion, persistence, patience, integrity, & wit combine to humanize the badge in a way that makes him relatable.

Historia
Ross Hardy had made his decision. He sat in the middle of all he owned, a splendid Appaloosa gelding, a fine California saddle, a .44 Winchester rifle, and two walnut-stocked Colt .44 pistols. These were his all. It was a life that had left him rich in experience, but poor in goods of the world. The experience was the hard-fisted experience of cold winters, dry ranges, and the dusty bitterness of cattle drives.
