Historia
After facing war, death, unruly gods, and unmitigated evil, Minalan the Spellmonger is forced to return to Farise, the site of his earliest battles, with the simple assignment to conquer the subtropical city-state and expel the pirates that plague the kingdom’s shipping. Tired of warfare, Minalan embarks on a clandestine campaign to do so, assuming an alias and setting up shop in Farise as a mere Practical Adept as cover for his operation. Recruiting a cadre of talented agents to assist, he reluctantly begins the task of infiltrating and observing Farisian society.

I loved listening to the Spellmonger mongering spells as a practical adept
Revisado: 10-12-24
The change of pace and scenery in this installment was as refreshing as an iced drink on a hot day in the jungle. Seriously, 17 books (in the main storyline) and this is one of my new favorites. The catharsis of Min overcoming his past traumas as well as pushing the plot forward in an unstale way, makes this such a rewarding read. What a marvelous addition ! John Lee is awesome as always and i love the Calidor world building Terry is so good at. I only hope we can get 17 more installments of “this wonderful world” i know i will be there with my money in hand for each new one. (Especially if they continue to be as good as this one!)

Historia
Jacques McKeown is the most celebrated author of star-pilot fiction in the galaxy. He's rich, famous, and living in luxury, and his universe-wide fanbase eagerly awaits any news of his next book. There's just one small hitch. He's not Jacques McKeown. He's Dashford Pierce, star pilot and con artist, and if only the impatient calls from his publisher were the worst of his problems. There's also the last vestige of the Henderson crime gang, trouble brewing in the retired star-pilot community, and a small matter of somebody trying to kill him.

Historia
Minalan the Spellmonger has come a long way since he woke up to a goblin invasion almost a decade ago. Since then, he has built cities and mighty armies, invented new enchantments, and pioneered entirely new fields of magic. Now that the Witch Queen of Darkfaller has taken over one of the most powerful castles in the center of the kingdom, he has to marshal all his resources—political, military, and arcane—to try to drive her from the strategic and symbolically important stronghold.

Historia
Just as Fred is settling down in his new abode, he receives word that a favor is being called in, one he promised to a dangerously powerful member of otherworldly royalty. Bracing danger, adventure, and unknown threats, Fred is instead asked to take on an entirely different role than anticipated. Acting as interim professor at one of the few universities for supernatural entities, Fred will have to navigate a strange environment, eccentric coworkers, and unenthusiastic students. Yet that alone won't be enough, for this college has more history than the tales in its tomes.

Great addition to the story.
Revisado: 02-02-23
What i love about Fred the vampire accountant books is the slice of life glimpse at this wonderful world Drew Hayes has created.(not to mention the irreplaceable performance by Kirby)
The writing makes it seem like the stakes are high but often misunderstandings. (Actually not so much in this offering but still)
I like that it doesnt have to be “The End of The WORLD AND only the protagonist can save it!!1!!” In fact i much prefer the opposite. This series scratches such a particular itch. I hope they continue making these for a pong, long time. I know i will continue to consume them like offer led Dragon’s blood or whatever Sherif Thorgood is. 😊

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Historia
I was in my garage, when the space elves addressed the whole world. They didn't call themselves space elves, of course, but most humans struggled to pronounce Khjurhnalva. They had a message for us: Forces that had eradicated their species' males were heading for Earth. The space elves offered us access to the System, as cooperation was vital to the survival of both our species. I, Mathew, know all of the above is bullshit. I saw the truth with my own eyes, heard it from their beautiful, deceitful mouths. No one believes me, though. A planet-wide, survival reality show? Ridiculous.

Historia
Joe takes his first step into exile, and is promptly unable to breathe. This new Zone has a higher concentration of power, magnitudes denser. His first task is to survive, but mere survival is the least of his concerns. The Zone he has landed on has been in a state of constant war for thousands of years, a tug of war between the Elven and Dwarven societies. Not choosing a side is the same as declaring both to be your personal enemy. Though he is resistant, Joe reluctantly decides to go with the group he thinks will help him grow the most.

Luke Daniels really coming into his own with this series.
Revisado: 05-10-21
I absolutely love the world(s) Dakota Krout has came up with. In particular the story of Joe just keeps getting better. And the tie ins from other series, are there for fans of his other works... But remain HIDDEN to anyone else not in the know. The Mast—uh—Tatum would love it.
Soo glad that Artorian got to get a cameo in this one! I am off to listen to the newest instalment now that this book is done.
One question about this book before i go however, I understand why the Dwarves talk like “bros” (& which stats would effect that) but still trying to figure out why the elves talk they way they do (considering their stat choice) Harvard and MIT from IRL maybe?
