Historia
Dungeons are a lot like sea turtles. They’re born in clutches of dozens, if not hundreds. A 100 may be born at one time, buried in still-burning cities, in forests where the canopy hides the sky, or in ocean trenches at the bottom of the sea. But, only one in a clutch ever makes it to the surface. Everyone knows about dungeons - monstrous factories that emerge out of the earth, full of riches and Arcana and power - and monsters.

Sims, but make it fantasy
Revisado: 08-16-23
If you liked games like the Sims and DND, Why not combine those and make a good story?
Mark, a sweetheart... Dies... the end.
Just kidding, it's the beginning of a journey. His soul becomes entwined with that of one who is not as sweet, at all. I believe you will hear him say, OR DIE, many times. Anywho, both souls become entwined and reincarnated as a dungeon core. Dungeon cores are basically like the sims, as I brought up earlier... they control their area and slowly grow and expand... except the god that reincarnated them, also did so with many random souls. So now they must learn to work together and build an empire using only the knowledge they had in life, and fight the other cores, OR DIE..... This is a story of twisted experiments, monsters, lost knowledge, and no love, but they got mushrooms... Now the story was great, the only thing I didn't like was the constant perspective jumping without warning. I like to listen while playing gathering games or working out and could keep up till it did that and I had to rewind to figure out why it changed abruptly. Other than that, I liked the concept.

Short, fat, tall, thin, tan or light skinned...
Revisado: 06-03-21
I wanna start this by saying below are potential spoilers so don't read if you wanna give the book a go. Its a personal review so your opinion might differ.
SO first off I got sooo confused with the constant explaining of what people looked like, I know Logan was dark skinned but the way it sounded, so was Gunner? Then the love between the Poly deaf dance teacher who worked multiple jobs to get by, falling head over heels for the grungy mechanic biker in a gang without saying GANG, who brought a child to dance class.. Gunner is on the run from his old crew of druggies and abusers, protecting his sister. Still so confused how he thought he was able to provide for her more than there rich sibling who had kids and a huge house.... I know love is more important than money, but what indicated that she wouldn't love her little sister and he would love her enough to not have a safe home for her, as well as, his sister was a lawyer they wouldn't touch, then why was the child with the man they could? Parts dragged on longer than I felt they should, this seems like the writer was going for a star crossed lovers but make it gay, that's fine and dandy cuz we need more stories of gay couples overcoming stuff, but make it realistic... Also Narrator was good, I did notice 2 words he flipped the first letter of, I cant remember which but when you listen you will notice it, Like joy or something, it was around the middle maybe.

Historia
Life was barely manageable after my mom was murdered three years ago. I wasn’t sure what my purpose was anymore. But then on my 21st birthday, I drank a little too much and fell from the roof of my nine-story apartment building. I died. Then...I un-died. Enter Hayden, my really bossy (and hot) guardian angel whose duty is to train me to be the next “Soldier of Light.” I’m pretty sure I’m the wrong person for this job, despite what Hayden thinks. Guess I’m stuck saving the dead.

Till death...
Revisado: 09-08-19
SO when I read the synopsis I was very excited, warrior of light.. help dead people, coming back from the dead... I expected the story to have alot of action and adventure, maybe even a small big bad stand off... What I got was a love story, 90% just a love story.
I understand to start a book you have to get back story mostly and make the character relatable, but holy crap as soon as he shows up it begins, small at first then randomly shes wanting to kiss him and hold him.. like what the crap, I understand that he is ment to be uber hot but WOW, You will have to Shepard lost souls to the world of light, "All I wanted to do was to slide into his arms and cover his mouth with mine".. Priorities?....... there is story line about her performing "destiny" so to speak but that is more towards the end, like the last hour ish. Also its ancient magic, with technology, that was a really cool premise that should have been explored way more, that sounded awesome. I would say if you are a lover of love stories, I am not, then this would be a great book for you, reminds me of a certain famous movie but with a destiny and dead people...

Revisado: 06-10-19
So guy goes for food, drama ensues, he does not understand why... and the story continues but for a VERY VERY, to long, long time we do not know what is going on or what is happening..... BE QUIET but tell me stuff... Didnt I say be quiet... what?!?!?!
Ok now we know whats going on, sorta, and story goes on and on and on...
If you have time and like a slow burning novel with magic in the modern day, then this is great for you. I was listening to it when I was walking around shopping and going to the gym so maybe those were not the best places to listen?

Today in radio news...
Revisado: 03-02-19
Felt like a radio broadcast you would hear in the car on your way to work or school, very nostalgic. I like how there is trivia after he tells you a bunch of facts, this would be a great listen for trivia night with friends or at a bar. This would be great to listen to on a road trip, not with kids though ha. If you like Nostalgic radio and trivia facts this is pretty straight forward on what it is.

Deaths doorstep, or at least at laz's
Revisado: 01-24-19
Loved the narration, the different voices for each character is what I always love, and they were different to the point you think that two people are narrating.
Story, at first when you read about him finding the body, you think it would be cut and dry... then you read on and strip clubs, and cemeteries... death gods and there lackeys... gods of the land, cults, statues of winged penis's, fae....the list goes on and on. The story becomes it's own thing and draws you in.slowly but surely... This poor necro wizard can never catch a break... but in the end he will have to make a choice... one that would make him a target until his dying days... will he do it or deny and run... if this intrigues you then get this story... I doubt you will regret it.

dont make me laugh
Revisado: 01-24-19
I was marketed this as a comedy, I have yet to laugh once... cringe, lots... laugh, no...
Damian Stockwell, spy? Adventurer? Both? I was never fully clear what he was. I kept imagining a captain america type man who was so old fashioned the nursing home looked like elementary school compared to his way of thinking. Felt bad for the so called "friends" he had and his butler... Honestly I made it through the first book and may go back for the other two at a later time. Not that the story was bad, just the characters take some getting used to, but that just maybe my view on it. He seemed so full of himself and was created as so perfect with a huge personality flaw. This maybe the most truth in this world then I thought ha. He was sought after by movie companies, they would send new up and coming starlets to his house with gifts to try and get his story... he would return the gifts and send the actress's home the next morning.. as in he slept with them... for a guy with a high since of morality, sleeping with women who are probably there against there will is not a good idea..he even jokes with a Scottish man about having leprechaun magic... so not only is he a misogynistic man, hes racist, but super hot and skilled so that makes it alll ok, and how hes super lucky... I can kinda see what the author was going for, old fashioned Private eye type.. but I feel Damian was cranked up so high that it makes it unbelievable and unlovable... Anyways, the story was good, I liked the science and magic angle, the betrayal and twists... main character, garbage... story great :D

Light the flame of passion...
Revisado: 01-24-19
We meet john, a widower who has a job lighting lamps before sunset, and snuffing that flame around dawn. Not the most well off man but he makes due. He sees a man wandering the streets at night who he refers to as.. the ghost... finally one night he speaks with the ghost, not an actual spirit, and a spark ignites something between the two men...
Here we have Giles, a well off man who is haunted emotionally by the suicide of his best friend, of which he had a secret relationship with, he wanders the streets to try and mourn the anniversary of his friends death, he meets a lamplighter who ignites something within him that he thought long dead......
OK this is more of a short story, being a little over 2 hours so to much info is dangerous. I will say the narrator did a good job. The writer has a poetic way of words here and there that had my mind blown to see something that way. The only issue I had was the constant random words of that period and place dotted into sentences like he was trying to make a period piece but didn't wanna use all of their jargon...

Yule like this one..
Revisado: 01-15-19
Here we have Loki and Odin, both named after gods. Story unfolds on Lokis birthday and Odin has a surprise for him.. They go to a bar and after some liquid courage and revelations they go to a Hall that Odin has created for them...
This story is less than an hour so too much review will ruin it. Storyline was cute and sweet.
Now Im down for storytelling voices but when its from a first person point of view, a personal voice is better...Also the old words for things mixing with new words were a tad confusing at points but not many.
