Historia
US law enforcement agent Heather Lane can read minds but not the future. The dream of battle and blood that recurs every night must be a fluke, some obscure terror from her own mind. What its significance might be, she can't guess: an attack from seven psychotic vampires at once, only separated from nightmare by an eighth very different immortal. A handsome, brave man fighting at her side, a man she misses when she wakes.

don't waste your credit
Revisado: 06-05-14
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
No one it was that bad.
What was most disappointing about Laurell K. Hamilton’s story?
She has lost her ability to write an interesting story, its just disappointing after waiting so long to find out what happens to Merry and her men. The death of one of the best of her baby daddies (and my personal favorite) was just pointless, not to mention defying already established rules about how difficult the Sidhe are to kill. There were so many interesting tidbits that could have been explored, that would have made the book so much better, but alas LKH has so lost her touch, I doubt she could write a decent grocery list these days.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
She was terrible. Her english accent invaded every character to the point where the LA cops sounded like London Bobbies.
What character would you cut from A Shiver of Light?
Taranus, he's an imbecile, how he managed to indirectly cause the death of one of the main characters is beyond me. A stupider bogey man has never been written.
Any additional comments?
Nope, it pretty much sucked.

At Last
Revisado: 03-01-14
Would you listen to The Undead Pool again? Why?
I absolutely will listen to it again, it's that good.
What did you like best about this story?
Trent, choosing to be true to himself instead of his species.
Have you listened to any of Marguerite Gavin’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
MG was a great narrator as always.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I did cry a little at the end, because I love Al, even if I never really considered him as a romantic partner for Rachel. His heartbreak was very moving.
Any additional comments?
I cant wait for the final installment. After that I will read/listen to the entire series all over again.

not as good as book 1
Revisado: 10-13-13
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
After really enjoying book 1 I was looking forward to continuing the story. It was ok but not nearly as good as the first.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The heroines guilt.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
The narrator was good, not the best I've heard but she does a credible job.

Revisado: 01-07-13
What made the experience of listening to The Hobbit the most enjoyable?
I wanted to re-read this book before going to see the movie and I am so glad I did. The Narrator was wonderful. He SINGS the songs and very well I might add.
What other book might you compare The Hobbit to and why?
The Hobbit is the "perfect" fantasy novel. There is no other stand alone fantasy novel that holds a candle to it, in my opinion.
Which scene was your favorite?
The riddle sequence with Bilbo and Gollum is by far my favorite part.

Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....
