Historia
Earth was invaded. Earth was conquered. And humanity was summarily subjugated, as 400,000,000 people were culled. The terrifying part was this only took the Peacekeepers a second. There wasn't even a chance for us to fight back. In the blink of an eye, questions like whether or not we're alone in the universe or at the top of the food chain were answered. We were not. Not by a long shot. Despite the mass murder, the Peacekeepers promise they're benevolent. They don't want to rule Earth. They don't want to control humanity. They just want us to stop playing around with AI and genetics.

Interesting definitely kind of fun
Revisado: 03-28-25
Definitely better than average, but I wouldn’t classify it as great. though I suppose it has the potential to become great. I’m undecided as to whether or not I will ever get book two, but maybe.

Main characters personality doesn’t make sense
Revisado: 03-28-25
I won’t spend too much time on this. Human female dies on earth is born in a new body on a new planet . Spent eight years in the new body is now eight years old. The author :claims: the main character has all of her memories from her previous life. So why is the eight-year-old acting like an eight-year-old when she’s not actually eight years old. it’s extremely offputting. It doesn’t make any sense. I forced my way five hours in. There’s a whole lot of other really dumb things that happened that I’m not mentioning . if you’re OK with a book that’s has a grown adult making eight -year-old bad decisions go for it. Otherwise skip this book.

Historia
The worst day of Eric's life was capped off by him being kicked through a gateway into a universe filled with magic and monsters. To make matters worse, he had to fight for his life the moment he arrived. Nothing could have prepared him for a world where everything either wants to kill him or eat him.

Constructive criticism
Revisado: 01-01-25
First : take it easy with the comedy. Taking a bad joke and repeating it over and over again only annoys the reader, even taking a good joke and then repeating it over and over again will only annoyed the audience.
Example : Eyeball salad. Not funny. But then eyeball salad continues to be mentioned four or five more times. WHY? Mispronouncing Dallas over and over again, not funny just kind of pointless and silly and takes away from the story.
Second : Main character takes way way way too long to figure out he’s not dreaming. Main character is repeatedly referred to as a gamer, and yet throughout the book is constantly having to have every single little thing explained to him. Status, inventory map, etc..
Third : LOOT : main character fights, his way through a dungeon, kills all the monsters in the dungeon even some monsters that weren’t supposed to be in the dungeon, hard fought almost die, and then he leaves the loot behind. He just leaves the dungeon he doesn’t even bother to stop to regain his resources, manner and health. There’s possibly a lot of loot left behind in a monster‘s nest the monster he’s already killed, but he doesn’t go back for it. He just leaves.
The first two points I can just chalk up to maybe the book was written for 10-year-olds but the last part … leaving behind loot … that’s kind of unforgivable.
Summary: Main character cannot be stupid. Main character cannot be a coward. Main character cannot be the least interesting character in the book. I fill these are issues that can be fixed pretty easily in a rewrite, but I also assume that since this is way past book one there will be no rewrite. I’m scared to waste time listening to book too knowing there’s a great possibility that the character continues to not know anything and need everything explained to him that he’s going to continue to find reasons to leave behind loot and the bad bad comedy that I feel the writers are trying to force on the reader, not realizing that they’re not Funny.

Historia
In a world of elves and dwarves and sprites and mages, Tane Carver is a human with no gift but his wits. Which, to be fair, did get him into the world's most prestigious university of magical technology. For a while. Until his lack of magic was discovered. And then it all came crashing down. But when a student is murdered on campus behind unbreakable wards, Tane gets a second chance. Solving an impossible crime should be easy for the man who fooled the university's best mages for years. Except he's not counting on the head constable being an old flame who isn't so fond of him anymore.

In a nutshell shell
Revisado: 12-23-24
Start of book:
Male Main character is right all females are wrong.
Middle of book:
Main Bad guy is obvious, but we still have to wait till the end of the book before the main character figures it out.
End of book: female he abandoned shows up to save his life. Just in time for the main character to save the day.
Overall story has potential, but having said that I have no intention of ever getting book two.

Historia
Eric was born in a world governed by the Great System, in the family of Aren Bergman, a respected miner from Orchus. But the joy of gaining a son was overshadowed by the newborn's terrible affliction. Eric was completely nulled-level zero and no characteristics points. The only things keeping him from dying were his tiny base supplies of "life" and "energy". The medicine woman who delivered Eric believes this to be the work of the evil spirit, Bug. Due to the peculiar laws of the Great System, Eric cannot use experience essences or characteristics tablets.

Bad after taste

Having a young man, character is always a problem unless you’re a 12-year-old reader. But the story was fine. I enjoyed the world building and the leveling process, but something really stupid happens at the end of the book that just I just can’t get past

I think I liked it?
Revisado: 12-20-24
It had a great deal of potential. It just didn’t quite reach that potential. The battle sequences were a little long. If the main character is a bad ass, let him be a bad ass. The main character doesn’t always have to have a long drawn out fight before he finally defeats his opponent

So many Questions
Revisado: 12-20-24
Why do only a handful of people get inducted to start. It’s nonsensical.
Why are they not allowed to tell anybody?
Why does the main character have to have a love interest? It adds absolutely nothing to the story.
Why are multiple systems fighting over the same area? It’s a Multiverse. There’s an infinite amount of space. Planets territory. Why fight over a rock when there’s an infinite amount of the exact same rocks?
Billions of people on the Earth only five get chosen , one of the five is a part of a religious terrorist group.. really?

Author, I feel like you’re forcing humor into the story and it’s taking away from the story.
Narrator, the voices you’re using for the mimic are really, really distracting from the story.

Historia
Adrian was on his way to work when he was summoned to another world. A world of magic and monsters, where he finds himself more alive than he has ever been on Earth. But also, where death awaits him in any corner, and he must become stronger. But at first, before he can even fight, he has to run, because he is too weak to win a battle against even the weakest monster. And that is why he invests all of his Essence Points into his Agility. Which eventually gives him the potential to overcome almost all his enemies— with the small caveat that he does not get hit, of course. His immense speed...

High potential
Revisado: 12-20-24
Something I liked was that there is no love interest. So annoying when the main character falls in love with the first female he meets.
Something I disliked. Elf queen wants to take over and rule the other races. All of the other races are too busy fighting amongst themselves to rise up and put a stop to the evil elf queen. Kind of cliché.
The story has a great enough potential that I will be interested in book 2 but if in book 2, there’s more of the same …. As in “the main character has to talk since into the supposedly more intelligent rulers in order to get them to realize there’s a danger that they need to unite against “that can get boring really fast.
