Dating
Revisado: 04-12-25
Loved the ridiculous banter betwen virtual strangers that ultimately brought them to a relationship. Both people unload baggage in such a matter of fact, sometimes mean, but absolutely profound way. Loved this story! It was the perfect companion to drive home from work with.

Was it a good book?
Revisado: 01-20-25
Hazel Hunter is a favorite author of mine, so I totally expected to enjoy this book. Sadly, I couldn't even finish listening to it due to the AI narrator.
It's hard to listen to mispronounced words as well as not being able to distinguish between characters. I'm truly not sure what the book was about. What a waste of my credit. Sorry, Hazel Hunter.

Empathy
Revisado: 10-10-24
This bittersweet story of growing old, loss, and being alone is heartbreaking as well as uplifting.
Helen's rescue of Sipsworth and his involvement of giving her reasons to live by causing encounters with people who ultimately come to care for her is ingenious .
Well written and the narrative was excellent. Brought a tear to my eye more than once. Well done!

Just when I thought life might be getting back to normal—normal being a relative word—I couldn’t have been more wrong. Marriage proposal from the Grim Reaper? Yes. Beautiful healthy baby? Yes. Friends and family safe? Yes. Ghost of my worst enemy sitting on my front porch? OMG. Yep. With the ghostly world imploding around me, I’m going to need more than superglue to repair it.

Language, please
Revisado: 01-27-24
I've enjoyed this series of books up to this point. It seems, in this book, the author has run out of material and has just gone to writing down as many derogatory swear words as possible just to fill the page. Stupid sexual connotations that are irrelevant to the story just made it worse. I had 2 hours left but just couldn't finish listening. I'll go to the next book, hoping whatever caused this mess is over.

Perfect Ghost Story
Revisado: 01-05-24
This production was so emotionally charged and the dialog was captivating. I listened to it from beginning to end in one shot. There are so many nuances that trigger personal memories for me. I'm going to wait till I'm snowed in on Sunday and listen again. Bravo to the narrators!!

Historia
Former Federal Air Marshal Stephen Mason has again done the impossible. He has passed back through an unexplainable time portal and reunited with the three people he cares about most. It's 1720, Charles Town, Carolina Colony, a time and place fraught with hardships and hazards. Carving out a life here will be challenging, especially for these modern-day transplants. There are few people they can trust, none in whom they can confide. But they have each other. And they have a rice plantation.

I love time travel
Revisado: 06-03-23
I won't be listening to the 3rd book. The narrative was fine, but the story got boring about half way through. It became very predictable and the interaction of the characters was less than mediocre. Sorry, but I wish I had my credit back.

If you like overbearing men and needy women, then this trilogy is for you. The first book was ok, the 2nd and 3rd were just very predictable and boring. Couldn't finish the 3rd one.

Historia
Librarian Martha Storm has always found it easier to connect with books than people—though not for lack of trying. She keeps careful lists of how to help others in her superhero-themed notebook. And yet, sometimes it feels like she’s invisible. All of that changes when a book of fairy tales arrives on her doorstep. Inside, Martha finds a dedication written by her best friend—her grandmother Zelda—who died under mysterious circumstances years ago. When Martha discovers a clue within the book that her grandmother may still be alive, she becomes determined to discover the truth.

An exceptional book
Revisado: 12-31-22
One of the best books I've listened to in n awhile. The family dynamics are very relatable to me and made me think about my childhood and the trials and tribulations there of.
The story also helped shed light on certain circumstances in my own life, which I have not fully acknowledged.
The author has a poignant way of bringing this story to life, and the narrator was particularly well at telling it
5 stars are not enough, in my opinion

Thought this book would never end. Too many characters to try to develop a relationship with. To mamy dreary, sad women to deal with. Sorry, I wouldn't recommend this book.
