I learned so much about myself
Revisado: 01-08-17
I loved this book, however it taught me things about myself that are hard to see. This book should be required reading in all high schools. Thank you Jodi for the insight to myself.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

So glad Lisbeth is back
Revisado: 10-28-15
The author had me from the get go. I feel like I hooked up with old friends to catch up what was going on. I hated to see the story end, but at the same time I couldn't put it down. I do hope he continues with Lisbeth.

Garcia has stumbled way out of his depth.

I am really not well versed as I should be about Cuba, and because of that I wasn't as eager as usual to purchase the next RWW book. I was however delighted and "hooked" from the beginning. DELIGHTFUL and INTRIGUING!! Thank you Randy. Now get back to work on the next book.

Not only will it be one of the worst scenes he has ever encountered, but the consequences of that visit will draw him into the heart of a nightmare.

Distracted by the "New Doc Voice".
Revisado: 04-30-13
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I love my Doc Ford books, but I have to say it was tough getting by the "new voice", on the audio books. I also felt that the ending left me out there. So what about all the animals and worms in the water system? What about Dewey? I know I'll keep reading the series and find out more information, but this was not the best ending for me or the performance by the reader. He had Tomblinson down, but Dewey was a winey and I agree with the other reviewer, what is up with the southern accent.
The story itself was good and had me enthralled, but the ending was bizar, but it was a Doc Ford ending.
Would you be willing to try another book from Randy Wayne White? Why or why not?
ABSOLUTELY I love his work.
What aspect of Dick Hill’s performance would you have changed?
Well it's hard to rate his performance, but the voice change in Doc was really off.

One of my early on favorites
Revisado: 03-04-13
If you could sum up Ten Thousand Islands in three words, what would they be?
Fast paced, interesting.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Ten Thousand Islands?
When the person told Doc Ford what he had seen on the Island.
What about Ron McLarty’s performance did you like?
I have said before I always feel like Doc Ford himself is telling me a story
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes and I think it was pretty much a 2-3 day listen.
Any additional comments?
We have a lot on a little Island off of Marco, and I could swear it was the island in the book.

Marine Biologist Doc Ford is hot on the trail of a dead friend’s wife. Apparently, the woman vanished into the steaming jungles of South America guided by a truly disgusting specimen of humanity. From Florida to Columbia and Panama, Doc traces their path, but a shadowy figure is following him - and the violence left in the wake of this individual is terrifying.

I am sooooooo hooked on Doc Ford Novels
Revisado: 03-04-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Mangrove Coast to be better than the print version?
I have read a couple of the Doc Ford Series books and have listened to over half of the ones I have purchased. I find myself skipping over some of the technical stuff in the print versions, but I listen to all of it when I have the audio version. So I think I get more out of the audio versions.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Mangrove Coast?
When the boat explodes.
Have you listened to any of Ron McLarty’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I feel like Doc is actually telling me a story.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes I did have a reaction to the book and it made me both laugh and cry. Without giving too much away...............I'm just saying that Tucker was ALWAYS one of my favorite people in the books.
Any additional comments?
Try to read the series in order, it helps build the characters.

Historia
The world had become used to the metahumans - people sometimes perfectly ordinary, but sometimes quite extraordinary in appearance - who mostly worked with their governments as high-powered peace officers, fighting crime, and sometimes fighting rogue metahumans who had become super-criminals. Then that comfortable world ended in just one terrifying day.

I bought it on a whim for something different.
Revisado: 03-04-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I wanted something a little different and WOW did I get what I asked for. In the begining I thought this is hookey, but then I got into it and couldn't wait to buy book number two. I am enjoying the stories, but the person reading the audiobook is the reason I keep coming back for more. Very fast paced.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Invasion?
When they brought the mountain out of seclusion.
What does Nick Sullivan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
He keeps you engaged, I love the accents and the personalities that he brings to each and every charater.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Vickie gets out of her apartment and is trapped in the store.

Now I'm hooked
Revisado: 03-04-13
Where does World Divided rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It is probably in my top 25 ever, but I'm doing about 3 -5 books right now and it is my go to at the moment. I bought the 1st book in the series on a whim, but needed to find this book as soon as I was finished with the 1st.
What did you like best about this story?
I think the person reading the audiobook is doing a fantastic job.
Which scene was your favorite?
Since I'm not done with the book yet need to hold off on this question.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There are parts that are moving, and yes the book does make me laugh.
