Historia
Savid DelaCrotia is the third born son of one of the Kingdom of Montshire’s oldest and most respected High families. Cast aside by his father at an early age, it’s up to him to make his own way and create his own honor. With just his horse, his weapons, the clothes on his back and in his pack, and the education that his family provided, he’ll have to go it alone. Luckily, he already has a pretty good idea of what he’s good at - fighting, and woodcraft - not to mention finding hidden and lost items.

Historia
Jacques McKeown is the most celebrated author of star-pilot fiction in the galaxy. He's rich, famous, and living in luxury, and his universe-wide fanbase eagerly awaits any news of his next book. There's just one small hitch. He's not Jacques McKeown. He's Dashford Pierce, star pilot and con artist, and if only the impatient calls from his publisher were the worst of his problems. There's also the last vestige of the Henderson crime gang, trouble brewing in the retired star-pilot community, and a small matter of somebody trying to kill him.

Solid snarky comedy.

One of his better works, tied up the story nicely. Was funny without being obnoxiously self aware.

"Meh" at the very best.
Revisado: 07-15-22
Going to be honest, this is without a doubt one of the most painful books I've ever experienced. When I found out that this turd of a story actually has a sequel, I had to stop listening. The whole book reeks of a man writing to get laid from some feminist in a drum circle and not a man focused on telling a semi decent story.
Cons:
-The feeling of this book makes you believe that the author had no plan or foresight into what he wanted to do. It was like he had the option of telling a prologue or an opening story, then decided to half ass both.
-There are these weird filler parts that add literally nothing to the progression of the plot and drives home the fact there was no planning in this story.
-Antagonist? I guess there is, but they aren't addressed until 2/3 of the way through the story and even then they apparently aren't that big of a deal anyway; at least not in the grand scheme of the protagonist finding herself and her confidence.
Pro:
-Susan Duerden did an amazing job in her performance, not to campy and had an impressive range. One of the best I've heard.
In short, hard pass.

Historia
A magical serial killer is on the loose, and gelatinous, otherworldly creatures are infesting the English countryside. Which is making life for the Ministry of Occultism difficult, because magic is supposed to be their best kept secret. After centuries in the shadows, the Ministry is forced to unmask, exposing the country's magical history - and magical citizens - to a brave new world of social media, government scrutiny, and public relations.

Rare 5/5
Revisado: 05-19-22
I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and mechanics that Yahtzee crafted in this story. That amount of humor was perfect, not superhero movie amount where you lose interest in the story, but enough to keep you engaged while making you smile.

Getting abit hard to finish.
Revisado: 06-09-21
The narrator is great as always, but the MC has just gotten painful and has taken the role of an insufferable Mary Sue perfectly. At this moment I'm finishing the series just because the rest of the books were ok.
