Best Epilogue Ever

Honestly this entire book was fantastic. The love and emotion portrayed throughout the story, as well as the character growth, was just amazing. But that epilogue was literally the best one I've experienced so far. I don't want to give away any spoilers so I'll just say that the ending was *gah* so full of love 😍

Emotional

I was not prepared for the emotional turmoil I experienced while listening to this book. Joe Arden's narration was absolute brilliance and I found myself crying way more often than I'd care to admit. I have read a lot of books in my life and none of them can ever compare to this one, emotionally. The emotions that Ariel Anderson laid bare throughout this story... I don't even have words. This book is absolutely, without a doubt, written art. I will likely think about this book for the rest of my life because it is just that impactful. Most definitely 5/5 stars

New Favorite Heroine

Emory is hands down my new favorite heroine! Her sass and witt is absolutely perfect! I found myself laughing almost every chapter because of them! And the banter between characters is phenomenal as well! All around amazing book, that I'll definitely be listening to and/or reading again and again!

Speechless

This started off slowly but then all of a sudden I was enraptured! I couldn't stop listening, needing to know what would happen next! The way Liv Zander weaved the stories together is magic. There is suspense, thrill, excitement, heartbreak, confusion, and anger. She created a story so hooking that it took me a minute to come back to reality. I gasped in frustration with the ending cliff hanger, jumping so quickly to Audible to download the next book. Absolutely amazing.

Great Story

I am absolutely enthralled with this story! My only complaint is that the voice of all 4 men is the exact same. It would have been better if the MMCs narrator changed his voice a bit to have a different sound for each man or if there were multiple male narrators. It makes it difficult to tell which man is speaking when I get so caught up in the story that I forget who was introduced in the beginning of the chapter.

All the Feels

OMG when I saw the videos about how great this book was, I was not expecting it to go above my expectations, but it did! Not only did it have all the dark, stalker, masked man vibes BUT it was also hilarious! The banter between the MFC and MMC was amazing and had me literally laughing out loud. And then there's the spice, which had me... well 🥵. Absolutely phenomenal book, every dark romance lover should have this in their library!

Quiet Narrator

The narrator was very difficult to hear when doing the male voices. At times I had to strain and missed a lot of male character's dialogues. This left me having to piece quite a bit together and having to repeat multiple parts which was quite frustrating. I recommend listening in a quiet environment with no chance for interruptions.

Hard to Follow

The book has potential but the story jumps around a lot making it difficult to follow. I found it difficult to listen to the entire book because of this. At first I thought it'd get better as the book continued as the jumping started early on but, unfortunately, it didn't get better. It's an okay listen if you need something to pass the time but I wouldn't recommend it for a serious read.

Sound Effects

Great book and the narrators were amazing. However, the sound effects were terrible! They either scared the living daylights out of me because they sounded unexpectedly or they almost drowned out the narration.
