Historia
No electricity. No running water. No food. No end in sight. If life as you knew it changed in an instant, would you be prepared? In A. American's first novel, Going Home, listeners were introduced to Morgan Carter, the resourceful, tough-as-nails survivalist who embarks on a treacherous 250-mile journey across Florida following the collapse of the nation's power grid. Now reunited with his loving wife and daughters in this follow-up to Going Home, Morgan knows that their happiness is fleeting, as the worst is yet to come.

Plot meanders
Revisado: 10-23-17
Author Has engaging style and the performance is well done, but the direction of the plot line is a lot harder to follow. There wasn’t a clear central conflict, so the resolution seemed shallow.

Language made it hard for me to enjoy
Revisado: 02-27-14
I couldn't make it through chapter one. The language was over the top with every sentence seemingly containing another swear word. The reader seemed strong, and the high level story seemed intriguing, but like I said, I had to turn it off.

Great book
Revisado: 09-03-12
Really enjoyed the book. The reader was not as dynamic as I would have preferred, but Batson's ability to weave a great pirate tale makes up for it.

Good, but not original enough for me
Revisado: 03-06-12
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
This book is good, but it leverages Good to Great heavily. I wouldn't mind this as much, except it is really hard to get into when he quotes from Good to Great seemingly every 5 minutes. I confess that I just wanted to stop listening and go listen to Good to Great again. With that said, there are some original insights, and for that reason it is worth the time to go through. But, I strongly encourage the reader or listener to go through Good to Great first.
If you???ve listened to books by Thom S. Rainer before, how does this one compare?
Rainer's other books are better.

Amazing book
Revisado: 09-22-10
The book weaves in a combination of fantasy and almost superhero like characters into an intriguing tale with characters traversing two separate worlds and trying to save a world that is their own, but they didn't even know existed until the main characters came of age. The reader is great!
