I Do create marketing campaigns for a living - all my ‘writing’ is likely less than 3 minutes by the time it airs - I still got So much out of this book.

It took a bit to get in to the narrator. I generally Only listen to books voiced by the author but she won me over.

Im sure this was an important book.... in 1959

When it was first published. But it has not aged well. If this is your first business motivation book this 'might' be oil but overall the thinking is just oo simplistic and the 'lessons' just to overused to be able to have much of an impact.

Additionally the reader and his false exuberance will remind you of your Uncle Ned telling you the story - for the 12th time - how his first car impressed all the girls.

I was hoping I could return it but for some reason it isn't available.

Amazing title ….

I give the author for his brilliant marketing on the cover. But the originality ends there.
If this is your Very First Self Help book and you are desperate - ‘maybe’ start here. And when you move on to so many others that have such depth and insight you will understand my review. I admit the title sucked me in. Lesson learned.

Done two of his books so far and much of his social media. I have to say I love him. But I love him like I love sweets. Short hit, not sustaining but fun.

I Really wanted to like this book. The narrator...

I have done almost 150 Audio books. This book stands out as the Worst narration of all 153. I did not have time to read it so I choose the audio version. I always pre listen to be sure I can enjoy the narrator as well as the content. I gulped when I heard the variation on the accent - but assumed it would grow on me. It never did. I fought to get the content til the end but in the end this book was a waste of money. Thinking the content would outweigh the reading and that I would learn to enjoy it I procrastinated and missed the deadline to return it.

Solid book, wrong reader

This is only the second Isaacson i have finished - and i am the better for it. If it was a 9 inning baseball game - seven innings are Crispr, one is Crispr plus Covid and a summary.

Took a Long time to get to the 7th inning stretch where we get to the profundity of Crisprs impact on Covid...but in the end i left feeling because of all this...we are in a Much better place to deal with future pandemics. (As long as we are not stupid enough to elect another Trump who, by his ineptitude, is personally responsible for killing thousands of Americans with his bottomless ego of narcissism. )

A for the reader - she didn't have one ounce of the gravitas of Isaacson. Play her @ 1.25X speed and she's less inappropriate.

Great titles can be deceiving

The title and table of contents are good. The first two chapters are good. After that it slowly drifts onto a generic victory lap by what I’m sure is a very nice man with too much time on his hands. If you are looking to be disrupted look elsewhere
