My favorite story of all time did not disappoint. So much tension, uncertainty, and yet an island of beauty found in the midst of chaos. Samantha please return soon. The level of brokenheartedness cannot be endured for years to come.

Romance? Nope

This was nonstop sex between 2 strangers who had chemistry. No time at all to know each other yet they live each other. The terms male, masculinity, dominant thrown all over the place- and fragile, feminine, submission….WTH? Then there’s the narrator on the precipice of climax the entire book?

Lovely hope-filled story

A wonderful story of hope, connection and imagination. As a long-time Audible fan, I was surprised by the narration. The voice and characters were fine but the timing between words was awkward and distracting. Sometimes the space between words was bizarrely long followed by spaces that were awkwardly fast. Very strange.

I was convinced

First, I have no idea what some reviewers are talking about regarding too much sex scenes. I was well past half way in the book before one appeared. After that there were a few brief others. Considering the length of the book and what was happening the story, it made sense.

Second, I like this book even more than the first because of who the key characters are and how well Sarah explains their many layers. It’s heartwarming.

I’ve never been a fan of fairy genre, but this was written well.

I do agree with some reviewers about Feyre’s personality - it can be a little annoying to listen how frequently she questions what is so obvious. Also the price of her “brokenness” is too small to cause her such pain, especially considering her experience taking lives as a human.

Adorable and original

Lovely performance with an original story, really does bring memories of Notting Hill. What would have been a very unlike pairing was believable given Julia’s career passion.

Great performance and overall experience. I can’t imagine the need for a part 2 of this story so they should have just finished it.

Great production, if only

Hillary is always A+, some other other voice actors sounded too scripted. Overall a great production. Re the story, if only there were more teams like this. It’s unbelievable how many women in the military continue to be in danger from their colleagues.

Three riveting characters

“Never judge a book by its cover” is illustrated perfectly in this twisty/twisted story. I will definitely be reading more from this author.
