Historia
Ever felt the thrill of a brilliant business idea only to slam into the brick wall of risk and uncertainty? You're not alone. Even giants like Elon Musk and Warren Buffett faced the same daunting question at some point: "Is it worth the risk?" The old business model would have you jump through hoops of fire, risk losing money and time, often only to hit a dead end. But those days are gone. Today, the smartest business owners on the planet know that financial growth doesn't have to be a roll of the dice. Are you ready to step into this new paradigm?

Good ideas, horrendous AI narration
Revisado: 10-29-24
Lots of good, even life-altering ideas here.
But get this book in a different format - the narration at times sounds like a real person, but over and over it just tells you that “We want you to think that this is actually Roland Frasier reading the whole thing.”
It’s not. The book is nine hours of Chinese water torture, reminding you that there is no sane person - never mind a hugely accomplished businessman who knows this information like the back of his hand - who would use such weird inflections, timing, pronounce symbols as if they were actual words, and pronounce EBITDA no fewer than 5 different ways.
Never mind hire even a moderately articulate high schooler to use the AI software to fix glaringly obvious mistakes.
The authors’ reputations and experience are legendary, and they say that they want to spread positive messaging to help people achieve their goals. But the presentation is fundamentally, repetitively lying to the listener in the process. If you can stomach that to get to some good high-level concepts, go for it.
If you say you’re human, be fully human. Please don’t lie to us.

Historia
When we ask, we aim low—asking for what we think we can reasonably get afraid of risking too much, and get nothing at all. The result? We leave money and opportunity on the table. Communications coach Dia Bondi has helped thousands of women advocate for themselves by making big asks. In Ask Like an Auctioneer, she outlines a six-step framework that will help you strategically and confidently ask for more, maximizing the potential of every ask, every time.

Stop leaving value on the table!
Revisado: 10-14-24
It’s easy to roll our eyes at people who think “too much” of themselves, talk a big game, and can’t back it up. It’s a lot harder to admit that we’re not actually giving ourselves enough credit, then get it. This book is jampacked with ideas to help you do exactly that. All the stars, especially for Dia’s energetic and empathetic delivery.

Historia
There's no shortage of networking and entrepreneurship advice in books and on social media in today's world-but it's harder than ever to know what's authentic. To make matters worse, taking the wrong advice can result in superficial connections, transactional relationships, and unsatisfying interactions with others without any real rapport. Fortunately, as entrepreneur and marketer extraordinaire Joe Polish has discovered, there's a simple (though sometimes not easy) way out that begins with one question: "What's in it for them?"

Historia
When a crisis occurs we tend to count on a few professionals—one of them being our financial advisor. We lean on these trusted relationships to help us navigate the storms of life. Although well-intentioned, some advisors don’t deliver true value. Too many still depend on outdated standards and strategies, creating collateral damage to investors and advisors. Tyson Ray saw this trend and created a compelling alternative.

Hugely important and valuable
Revisado: 08-07-24
These ideas are so important for advisers and clients alike. As a heads up, this audiobook is not the book itself – it’s a conversation about the book. It’s still highly valuable though, and you can hear how much Tyson genuinely cares about these ideas.

Historia
Our current definition of “productivity” is broken. It pushes us to treat busyness as a proxy for useful effort, leading to impossibly lengthy task lists and ceaseless meetings. We’re overwhelmed by all we have to do and on the edge of burnout, left to decide between giving into soul-sapping hustle culture or rejecting ambition altogether. But are these really our only choices?
