Jay & Roland Are As Brilliant As Ever

This book features some great content but it does not lend itself well to audiobook format.

Also the narrator reads it as if they were not familiar with the content nor the subject matter, nor the fact they were being recorded for an audiobook. Surprising since it’s read by one of the authors.

Good book, not a great audiobook

I recently purchased Roland Frasier and Jay Abraham's book, which offers refreshingly non-hypey, informative content with excellent creative financing concepts. While Frasier delivers bright ideas and practical advice, Abraham's sections tend toward verbose abstraction. The book's fatal flaw is its poorly executed AI-narrated audiobook, with hilarious numerical errors (claiming you could own "1,000 and 50% of a company"), awkward chapter transitions, mumbled words, and random audio cutouts. The moment the robotic voice mangled percentages, I instantly recognized the artificial production. Despite the embarrassingly poor audio quality that suggests they cut corners on production, the underlying content delivers valuable business insights worth reading—just maybe stick to the print version.

Bad AI Audio But Great Book

Lots of good, even life-altering ideas here.

But get this book in a different format - the narration at times sounds like a real person, but over and over it just tells you that “We want you to think that this is actually Roland Frasier reading the whole thing.”

It’s not. The book is nine hours of Chinese water torture, reminding you that there is no sane person - never mind a hugely accomplished businessman who knows this information like the back of his hand - who would use such weird inflections, timing, pronounce symbols as if they were actual words, and pronounce EBITDA no fewer than 5 different ways.

Never mind hire even a moderately articulate high schooler to use the AI software to fix glaringly obvious mistakes.

The authors’ reputations and experience are legendary, and they say that they want to spread positive messaging to help people achieve their goals. But the presentation is fundamentally, repetitively lying to the listener in the process. If you can stomach that to get to some good high-level concepts, go for it.

If you say you’re human, be fully human. Please don’t lie to us.

Good ideas, horrendous AI narration

Be prepared to have a mindset shift on what is possible with business. Conventional wisdom says you should start a business from scratch. This book teaches to buy instead and gives you a plethora of ways to do that. The authors are legends in business and entrepreneurship and marketing. I highly recommend this book and will be reading again.

The Path to GOLD

VERY difficult for me to follow. I listen to books all of the time in the car while driving but the reading of this is unbearable for me. Which that could be fixed because I REALLY would like to absorb this information.
