Historia
At 5:40 a.m. on July 4, 1954, the mayor of Bay Village, a small suburb of Cleveland, Ohio, received a frantic phone call from his neighbor Dr. Sam Sheppard. The news was too terrible to comprehend: Marilyn, Sam's lovely wife, was dead, her face and torso beaten beyond recognition by an unknown assailant who had knocked Sam unconscious and escaped just before dawn. In the adjacent bedroom, Chip, the Sheppards' seven-year-old son, had slept through the entire ordeal. Almost immediately, the police began to suspect Sam Sheppard.

Great work!

I was fascinated with this case since I was a child. As a retired police officer, it is plain what happens when you jump to a conclusion they fight to make evidence fit your conclusion. How many innocent people were put in prison because of this.
This is a great audio book. The voice keeps you listening.

This is the book the CIA does not want you to read. For the last 60 years, the CIA has maintained a formidable reputation in spite of its terrible record, never disclosing its blunders to the American public. It spun its own truth to the nation while reality lay buried in classified archives. Now, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter Tim Weiner offers a stunning indictment of the CIA, a deeply flawed organization that has never deserved America's confidence.

WOW! Makes me ashamed of my country
Revisado: 12-21-22
We watched HOMELAND SERIES and saw this book. Bought the audio. With the FBI and CIA interface in our elections since 2016, this book is an eye opener. The current news of 80 FBI agents working with Internet companies to spread misinformation to change our elections, I fear the Swamp is to powerful to stop.
I was taught we are the greatest country, but I doubt that was ever true. I read FBI enemies last month.
Now we know why the Swamp never stopped going after Trump and future Republican Presidents.

Historia
In Killing the Legends, Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard explore the lives, legacies, and tragic deaths of three of the most famous people of the 20th century. Each experienced immense success, then failures that forced them to change; each faced the challenge of growing old in fields that privilege youth; and finally, each became isolated, cocooned by wealth but vulnerable to the demands of those in their innermost circles.

Joe Kenda investigated 387 murder cases during his 23 years with the Colorado Springs Police Department and solved almost all of them. And he is ready to detail the cases that are too gruesome to air on television, cases that still haunt him, and the few cases where the killer got away. These cases are horrifyingly real, and the detail is so mesmerizing you won't be able to turn it off.

This is a must read for students of crime. Also it makes clear when talking about vets with PTSD. we should include police officers.
