This might become my favorite book of all times. It was so real and so important. I felt like it told the story of my grandmother... all of the stories she's shared over the years. And, it is so relevant to today with immigration, hardship, etc. A truly American story about grit, determination, and survival. And, the narration was perfect. Thank you both for making this story come to life!

I genuinely loved this book. it started out simple then went places I couldn't predict. I really related to the characters that were so human and so often made the "wrong" choice. eye opening... thank you for writing this beautiful story!

I had to stop. I found myself truly getting depressed just by listening to the narrator! the story was sad too but I could have handled that if it wasn't several hours of sounding like you're crying!
