One of his best

I wish he wouldn’t beat up the protagonists so much, but regardless of that, this is one of his best books.

This is the first Wilbur Smith novel outside of the Egypt series that I’ve actually enjoyed. Fast moving with the usual Wilbur Smith betrayal by the female character near the end. It was a good read

Where is the editor?
Revisado: 11-13-22
What a shame! This could have been a much better book, where it not for the authors limited vocabulary and the lack of a good editor. “He smiled, she smiled, they smiled;” “he looked here, then looked back, I looked down.” Nobody ever glances or stares or glares. For all the money you’re making on this series, surely you can afford to have somebody fix this!

If only a good editor had worked on this
Revisado: 11-06-22
The story is great and has me interested enough to keep listening to the next. Unfortunately, I find the writing style a bit irritating. So many words are repeated. If only a good editor has gone through this it would be a much better novel

He came, he saw, he conquered
Revisado: 11-19-21
This is the first Dean Koontz title that wasn't worth reading. There is no tension at all, no stakes. The MC is never in any danger, he simply goes about his business, does what he needs to do and moves on. Usually Dean Koontz novels are nail-biting, but this one is entirely predictable.
