Before I start, please keep in mind that I adore smut more than almost anything in the world. That being said, I can’t help but feel incredibly disappointed. Usually MC romances are incredibly fast paced and adventurous. This… didn’t have it. If you pay attention, you’ll realize the plot/meat to the story is almost nonexistent.

I feel that if this book wasn’t duet narrated, this book’s average review would be much lower. Take note authors- if you’re not sure about your book, please for the love of God just make sure it’s a duet narration.

Started out strong…

I was initially impressed and surprised with how this book started. I really, really, really enjoyed hearing Ethan Reid narrating. However, just like so many romantasy books, the FMC’s intelligence and character dwindles down to a potato, leaving me more irritated and barely able to enjoy the book. Plot could’ve also used some beefing up, especially towards the end.

Last but not least, why the heck was this not duet narrated?

Overall this wasn’t the best, nor the worst audio.

Is book #2 ever going to come out soon? This cliffhanger is almost unfair.

As always the narration for this was brilliant. I will never understand why more books are not diet narrated. Lauren and James knocked it out of the park.

DNF- The male narrator gave me a strong ick. I can’t listen to good smut when the MMC sounds like a creepy 70 year old.

Fun and entertaining book! As always, these narrators knock it out of the park! If Paige and PJ are narrating a book, it’s an automatic buy for me!

My heart…

Absolutely loved and devoured this book! I was really worried we wouldn’t hear the rest of Ash and Raven’s story and grateful to be proven wrong. My only disappointment was that we really don’t get to enjoy the ending the mc’s deserved or hear about their future (which the author also did with Warwick and Brexley.)

Well this was unexpected…

I had very low expectations for this audio, considering the wishy washy Good Reads reviews and synopsis but dang! This was such a great listen! It’s so refreshing to have a FMC that isn’t a naive 22 year old with no real life experiences. The duet narration really makes the storytelling shift to another level! I can’t wait for the next book!

I wasn’t sure about this… I was more interested in Brexley and Warwick’s continuing story but dang… I am pleasantly pleased. Where has Cavern Kingston been all this time? And do I have a new favorite male narrator? Yes, and yes. My only complaint is not knowing the when the next book comes out (and the standard “this would’ve been better in duet”)
