Historia
If England had yearbooks, I'd probably be "Arden St. Ives: Man Least Likely to Set the World on Fire." I've no idea what I'm doing at Oxford and, until a week ago, I had no idea who Caspian Hart was. Turns out, he's brilliant, beautiful...oh yeah, and a billionaire. It's impossible not to be captivated by someone like that. But Caspian Hart makes his own rules. And he has a lot of them. About when I can be with him. What I can do with him. And when he'll be through with me. But now that Caspian's shown me glimpses of the man behind the billionaire I know it's him I want.

Absolutely riveting, poignant, joyful, satirical, and HOT AS F 😳 Skip listening to the sample and proceed directly to “spend one credit?” button. Joel Leslie is just, well, I’d need a whole bunch more room to write about his pitch-perfect voice acting. Let’s just say Joel narrates many novels—because he’s just that good!— and the world is better for it! I know I am, at any rate. 🙌🏻

I will not pretend to have any hope of choosing a favorite KJ Charles novel, but this one is simply, well, exquisite. To quote the author, in fact, I’d call Band Sinister a “first among equals.”

READ THIS BOOK to Discover the Magic of “KINKY FRUIT!”
Revisado: 04-10-21
If your taste in books is anything like my own (which, given you’re interest in mm sci fi erotica, is probably the case) you want this book. Trust me. The only real flaw is that it ends. Military space traveling tough guys crash land on an unknown world and meet a group of hot af aliens with pierced nipples (have I got your attention? Thought so.) Suffice it to say that, with a bit of an assist from the magic of the kinkiest alien fruit of all time, boy meets alien boy and orgiastic sex beyond my wildest wet dreams ensues! I don’t want to give too much away, but the hotness and the sex are not all there is to be found in this lovely read. The writing and narration are very good and the world building is awesome as well. So, to recap, this book is sexy, creative, well-written, fun, and read by an excellent narrator AND there is a sequel! And that fruit I mentioned in my title? I am convinced we should get our botanists working on kinky fruit technology immediately! Can’t wait to read number two in this series, followed by every other book this author has written! Cheers!!

Warlock Nate Hawthorne just wants a cup of coffee. Is that too much to ask? Apparently. Because instead of precious caffeine, all he gets is cursed by a pack of werewolves who want to use him for his magic. Now the only way to fix the damage is a mate bond to a grumpy and oh-so-sexy alpha in the rival pack, who happens to hate him. This is so not how he wanted to start his day.

Pleasantly Surprised! QUITE a Great Little Diamond in the Rough!
Revisado: 02-27-21
I was in the mood for paranormal m/m romance (ok, if I’m honest, I’m ALWAYS in the mood for this genre!) and I came across this little book, which seemed too good to be true! It sat in my wishlist for awhile, and I decided to roll the dice and give it a credit! I’m glad I did, because once I started listening, it turned out to check almost all of my boxes: no insta-love, no horrendous narration, no crappy writing, and no avoidance of hot gay sex scenes! (Well, the sex scenes could have been more detailed and more plentiful, but they were firmly in the “ok, im feeling this; lady bits are standing by at attention” category). It was slightly annoying that the (low-level) angst/conflict between the two MC’s seemed a bit forced, at times, but that was not a significant problem, for me, anyway. Overall, a great read if you like, hot smexy times, werewolves, vampires, magic, VERY DECENT WRITING, good plot-building and you aren’t insistent on having TONS of world-building (it was enough for this story, imho.I would give this one 4.5 snarky-meets-studly stars! Just goes to show that if you scour Goodreads and Audible, there are still some hidden gems out there! Now, I’m off to go spend another credit on the second installment! Hope you enjoy!!

Historia
It's all a matter of opinion, but Carter's day is going pretty badly. He's an engineer captured by bug aliens, now depending on his large, muscled, naked cage mates for food and warmth. They seem sentient, so that's good. But they're also handsy. Which is...complicated. The military isn't looking for him. Slaves taken by the bug race never come back. Yet, Carter is very much alive, and if he wants to stay that way, he'll need to trust Pykh and Siel, two affectionate aliens with claws, teeth, and size.

Imaginative, Emotional, Captivating + JOEL LESLIE!
Revisado: 06-20-19
Need I say more? Grab your credit and click that button! This is a perfect story for a reader who may not be certain whether m/m romance is for them-- you will relate to the characters and see them for what they are: people in impossible circumstances doing the best they can to survive and snatch happiness where they can. The love/romance is beautiful and feels so natural. So many fascinating issues are explored in this book-- the possibility of alien life, the way humans might interact with them, slavery, love, affection, impotent frustration in the face of hopelessness, and so much more! Joel Leslie brings every character to life so exquisitely that I simply don't have the words to describe the experience of listening to him perform. He is a true artist, a master of narration. He seamlessly transitions between various accents and attitudes as the chapters progress (each chapter is told from the POV of one of the main characters-- an interesting choice that just WORKS!) What if aliens existed? What if other races enslaved each other and alien cultures were destroyed, as they have been in our own history? What if love were not associated with shame, guilt, or fear? This book is for anyone who loves books for their ability to cause you to feel, experience, imagine, and contemplate complex and compelling subjects, all while being performed by the best narrator I've come across! And... it's a TRILOGY! You won't regret this purchase!!

Historia
Peregrine Cavendish, 12th Earl of Enzie, has made a devil's bargain: he's going to sell Rowena, Isla's beautiful and innocent younger sister, to a known murderer in exchange for forgiveness of his debts. Tristan Mountbatten, the infamous Duke of Darkling Reach, has a habit of marrying such women and then disposing of them...horribly. For this and other reasons, there are rumors. That he practices the dark arts; that he's a necromancer; that he is, in fact a demon.

A Dark, Beautiful Work of Art
Revisado: 06-20-19
This is probably one of my favorite novels of all time. The story is captivating, as are the writing and narration. The characters are complex, intricate people with whom I felt a deep connection. The writing style is extremely wordy-- you may feel that it is overkill, however I enjoyed hearing the detailed world-building that the author chose to include. Magic, mystery, fantasy, and (most importantly) EXCELLENT writing are all present. I loved seeing the relationship between Isla and Tristan change from antagonistic to hesitantly tolerant to magnetically drawn together over the course of the book. Every character has a well-developed personality, so much so that I couldn't help but think "I know someone who is EXACTLY like that!" The book had me questioning my own beliefs in a way that few novels achieve: What is good? What is evil? How can the two possibly be... the same?? Or perhaps irrelevant?? This mind-blowing work of art is a must-read (listen) for anyone who loves a dark and complicated love story with compelling characters who will keep you on your toes! Narration is also excellent-- with Tristan, Shiromi Arserio portrays the sibilant words of a deeply conflicted... person? demon?... BEING with exactly the right flavor. This book is a MUST READ!!! I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Four decades of peace have done little to ease the mistrust between humans and dragons in the kingdom of Goredd. Folding themselves into human shape, dragons attend court as ambassadors, and lend their rational, mathematical minds to universities as scholars and teachers. As the treaty's anniversary draws near, however, tensions are high. Seraphina Dombegh has reason to fear both sides. An unusually gifted musician, she joins the court just as a member of the royal family is murdered.

Revisado: 02-06-17
I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the fantasy genre! The author weaves aspects of murder mystery, complex familial bonds, and romance together with an obviously practiced hand. The story is intricate enough to captivate but elegantly simple enough to make for an easy and fun read. I gave this novel five stars for accessibility, character development, story, writing quality, and lore. A must read for fantasy lovers!
