Very inconsistent, and the reading didn't help.

somewhere between book one and book two it seems like a completely different person wrote the book. And it seems like if it was the same person they needed to go back and reread book 1 for books, two and three etc. to make sense. for example, at the end of book 1. Helena calls. James about her sister being missing and then suddenly Helena is at Charles's place looking for her. And then between the middle of book two to book three. Helena and Jane's personalities are completely switched and it makes it really difficult to continue reading/ listening. The way Jane gets over the situation with the Bentley family it's just goes too far. It becomes difficult to listen to because you just want to slap her. She completely goes from being quite independent in book one to being a complete mess in book 3. It's a complete 180 on the character's personality and I can get what the author was trying to do behind it, but she went way too far in trying to make her emotional over the situation. It made the story very difficult to listen to. I honestly if I didn't pay for the four books I probably would have stopped at book two.

The performance of the book sounded low quality and the way that the men sounded a little more macho and book one and suddenly felt kind of cheesy and booked two and three and four was difficult to listen to and the way that she read their voices etc. which is not good. And I hate to sound so picky. but I've read and listened to over 300 of these books in my library and I have to say this was the most difficult one to listen to.

I loved it! Great story! But being from Jersey City I can tell the author isn't when she called the train from there to NYC the subway. someone from there would call it the Path train.

LOVED IT!!!!!

I….LOVED….THIS…BOOK!!! The story was really great and it was very well written. She did an excellent job of making you feel what the characters were feeling. I loved Liam and Kendall. In the beginning I was totally adding to her list of ways to hurt him but at the end I found myself so happy about how it turned out. I give it a 20 out of 10. Definitely a great read!

This is not normally my kind of book, but I liked it. The author’s portrayal of Mac was so sexy though. I love a confident alpha male! I loved the way Serenas mind worked. I loved how she considered inviting herself to the barbecue in the beginning. The suspense was great and I like the feeling of trying to figure out why so much was happening to her as it kept me turning the pages. It’s a great short read that I definitely recommend.

Unexpected but awesome!!

PLOT TWIST!! Let me preface this by saying, I NEVER read the summary on the back of the book. For me, no matter how vague, it spoils it for me. So I may have been more shocked by Rick than I should have been, but Oh MY GOD. Wow! I loved this story. Rick's internal struggle and the reasoning behind it was well explained. I found myself rooting for him time after time. It is an amazing story and I was totally addicted. A really great read! Highly recommend! 15 out of 10!!

This was a really great story. There was plenty of emotion, intrigue, and spice to keep you wanting more. You have to pay attention in the beginning, so you are clear on when they are going back to Christiano and Francesca. Stone sounded like a real catch and I loved how smart and strong Adeline was. It makes me want to visit Italy even more than I did before I read this book (which was a lot). This is definitely a must read and a story you will totally enjoy! 10 out of 10!

A great read/listen!

This good was a great quick listen. I liked the Max character and his quiet strength and the way it was written definitely kept me wanting to know more about him. I have to admit I wasn’t a fan of the character name Lonnie, because in my head that is a guys name, but that’s just me. Lonnie herself was a great balance of strong yet amenable. I wanted to know more about the plan the uncle had for her and why he chose this particular set of tasks for her. It was really a great listen and totally recommend this book!
