Historia
The Omega Covid variant hits the world, and it's different. It kills the unvaccinated but the dead don't stay dead. When the dead rise they have one aim and that is to kill the uninfected to spread the plague. But there is something ominous behind the variant, it has been designed, it has a purpose. Carl, a self declared middle aged loser, finds himself having to learn the art of survival in a real life zombie apocalypse, where the dead are just part of the problem. A new world order is trying to assert itself; they engineered the Omega variant, which is just the beginning of their plans.

I will never gain back this short amount of time that I took listening to this audiobook about a virus that turned everybody into a zombie and the only people that weren't zombies were the anti-vaxxers. I can't tell if it's supposed to be humorous or satire or serious honestly. if the journalist had been more serious in the artwork for the cover wasn't so serious I might know whether this was a comedic piece. because if it was a comedy piece then I would give it five stars but if it is just some grown ass adults kinky perversion to anti-vaxxers and boarding schools and teachers with whips who steal food from kids and a dad wearing a pink half of the dress (we are 100% fine with that behavior it's just I don't know why it needed to be included it really carried no weight in the story. nobody in a pandemic of zombies which appears to be a 90% rate is putting on a Pink taffeta dress.

Historia
The city of the gods. Elantris once stood as the symbol of all that is beautiful. A sprawling metropolis of unrivaled grandeur, it was a symbol of power and strength, built to be as imposing as it was magnificent. The only thing more glorious than the city itself was its inhabitants, Godlike beings, with silvery skin and hair of the purest flowing white. Able to create powerful magics with a mere wave of their hands, the Elantrians were able to heal mortal wounds and create any object they desired. But Elantris fell...10 years ago.

SPOILERS AHEAD! HARD READ AND IT'S ORIGINAL AUDIO FORM! THAT'S WHY I PICKED "GRAPHIC AUDIO"
Revisado: 02-06-25
SPOILER ALERT (book one more or less even though this is for the third in the series.) As my title states it is a difficult read initially, even in it's just regular audiobook format. That's because it's so hard to comprehend so many characters who are humans both alive and dead after you they are struck down overnight with a zombie like curse (except there's no zombie cannibalism and the people can think). once the black lesions in your hair fall out in your skin becomes a modeled Gray, you are cast out of their City into what was once described as the home of the gods but now it's just a sludge filled place of violence. The place I'm speaking of is Elantris.
As I was saying it was once described as the most beautiful place in existence, but 10 years prior something went wrong & a horrific disease fell upon them and caused them to appear to have the start of something that look like leprosy. The afflicted's hearts don't beat, their wounds won't heal, and even stubbing your toe on something and experiencing that pain will be with you for the rest of your life until you go mad. there was no death for these people. it was assumed that all the "gods" who are described as having silver-hair, glowing skin and could live almost twice as long as your average person in the real world .
After a "magical" mishap by one of these god-like humans, the white marble city of elantris fell into disrepair & these beautiful beings basically became lepers. the disease which I'm not even going to try to write the name of, wasn't just isolated to their Palatial City of marble. No, it came for anyone. also in the beginning you are led to believe that only certain types of people get it. one day the prince of the neighboring city which was built besides the wall along with three others, woke up to discover that he had been cursed.
There are religious cult like groups, and one of them is dead set on converting the king of this place on the outside of elantris. she believes that if you convert the king you convert the public. Very similar to to what we have today. the evil catalyst called religion, are basically represented as the Knights Templar. it was more about fighting and killing non-believers rather than converting them, even though that was their goal. all of the religions fought for power and money more than they did for their actual God. our other God was more of an agnostic God. but back to the knights Templar type religion, just imagine the Spanish Inquisition but with a secret magic they themselves have no clue exist & only one person at this point of the story can wield it (surprise it's our Prince).
Back to the prince, he is actually supposed to technically be married already by proxy, but on the 5-day water crossing that it took the princess from a neighboring Nation who came up with the idea for a marriage to prevent hostilities and strengthen her home Kingdom, herself gets said disease and is thrown out of the palace. interestingly our knights Templar guy also gets it and prays on his knees for 5 days in the board of city of elantras and claims he's been cured when all his spots disappear and he regrows hair. it is truly an intriguing story but again I recommend that you get all three graphic audio ones because without it it's not that interesting. and this is the first time I've actually given a review on a book that uses Graphic Audio. I hope my review has inspired you to give this series another chance. I've only provided spoiler information for the most basic of basics to grabbed your intrigue. There's so much more to this story than meets the eye. I went ahead and purchased the collection of a multitude of books that if I'm not mistaken deals with elantris in the past present and future along with another world building series.

Revisado: 06-23-24
it is one of the strangest books I've ever read but it is also one of the most intriguing books I've read it's something you're going to have to read and try to figure out for yourselves because I cannot describe what it is but I can tell you this we finally figure out what black holes are. another good thing is that there are three more books in the series so if you're lost through the first one just go to the second and let's see if we can figure this out together.

Historia
Glamorous and predatory, the Borgias fascinated and terrorized 15th-century Renaissance Italy, and Lucrezia Borgia, beloved daughter of the pope, was at the center of the dynasty's ambitions. Slandered as a heartless seductress who lured men to their doom, was she in fact the villainess of legend, or was she trapped in a familial web, forced to choose between loyalty and survival?

A New Version of the Princess of the Pope
Revisado: 06-13-24
I liked this book because it made her real. it made me feel the loss she experienced, the love, and the vengeance. we literally get to watch her grow up and develop her own personality. it's different from the series, and the SA scenario were written respectfully (respectfully as you can dealing with those situations). it made me see her as a human being just wanting love, just like us. Change the clothes and make it 2024 and she would be literally be us. I guess nothing changes. The men are just as bad as they are now (perhaps worse) and the politics we see in religion playing out are also mirrors. I can't really go into many details without giving away the whole story (I might have already done that somewhat), but what I can tell you is that a corrupt pope had a daughter aka the princess, who is forced into her work as a political pawn at age of 12-14 and although her father (the pope) claims her and says she is his favorite of all his kids, prove that it's not true, because of his never ending using of her body & soul for political game. if he loved it her as much as he said he did he never would have done what he did with those brutal times.

Ophelia was born into a family of Hunters, tasked with protecting the humans from the creatures of the night who feast on their fear. Except Ophelia always found the idea of monsters kind of intriguing. She even made the grave sin of committing some X-rated monster thoughts to paper—which in hindsight may not have been the best idea because her parents were mortified—but you live and learn. Well, everyone finds out your secret, you get banished from society, and then you learn.

Like ACOTAR? This is your next book!
Revisado: 04-10-24
Hot d*mn! Was not expecting this from the cover artwork (love it, but it wasn't what I was expecting... far, far better). This book is for every person out there who has ever felt like an outcast (or been cast out of a family, or community just because you think/love differently than they do). It is Spicy AF but also is a tear-jerker in my opinion (towards the end... just read/listen to it). ACOTAR fans' Don't waste your monthly credits or hard learned cash on a book you think you might like; take my advice and get this one. Just make sure you have enough credits/$$ to buy the next one because you won't want to leave this magical world of Shadows (and color perhaps one day?) alone until the next month. I give you permission to overdraft your debit card this one time (2 times! There are 2 more books in the series).

it's likely going to take you multiple tries to finish the book
Revisado: 02-13-24
I have been toying with this book for over a year. it's one of those books that starts off pretty dry and then something good happens and then something bad happens and you just kind of forget about the book but once you pick it back up, and get to the halfway point it really starts to develop and you can't put it down. So I guess what I'm saying is don't give up on this book because I am very excited to be moving on to book number two as soon as I push send on this five-star across the board review. no wonder bin bova is so successful in his literary works. and just FYI this is not your average sci-fi space race corrupt government book
Dare I say it's completely original? if you're reading this anytime after 2024 then you know what I'm talking about. I truly thought all Sci-Fi books were just recycling themselves but this one is something different keep — going read the book.

But as the President’s Chief of Staff, it’s Tierney’s job to take it seriously, and to work with Commander Corwin on America’s disaster response. Soon she sees past the commander’s gruff exterior, and finds herself...

STOP WITH THE AI VOICES
Revisado: 02-11-24
This could have been an amazing series, but there's ZERO emotion in the AI's voice. if the author is reading this: You could easily get $17 for each book if you just get someone on TikTok to narrate You deserve better than this AI Narration this is your baby (book series). I know AI narration is new and they probably are giving you a good deal on it for being one of the first people to use it but you're not going to get the following you deserve. it's an amazing story! it's so deep and hot, but I can't tell because the AI makes me feel like I'm listening to a recipe being read. Either way, 5 stars for this spicy space age sci-fi book.

Hard To Start But AMAZING Book
Revisado: 02-03-24
Got ADHD? It will likely take you a few times to start this book and actually finish it. But finish it you must (and will).
Why it was hard for me: For some of us here in America, British accents throw us off in audiobooks, but then throw in Old English phrases and accents on top of it.fromma large range of characters and you might dislike it based just off of just that... BUT DON'T GIVE UP!
This is hands down one of the most trippiest books I've ever read about time travel. imagine being a historian and getting to travel back in time to witness the 1500s — except something is wrong with the calculations. See, you're the 1st person to travel this far back in time and although you & your fellow time traveler experts/scientists/historians are aware of time slippage (you're supposed to arrive at 12:00 but you actually arrive at 2:30, or you might land in the wrong village) you arent prepared for what hapoens when it goes back THIS far.
Let's just say that after spending a short period of time in the past, you might lose yourself to the future forever
