Historia
Not everything is roses, chocolates, and vibrators in Zara's life...until Talon, Hawks MC president, wants to claim her as his. Zara Edgingway is a 26-year-old secretary. She has a daughter who apparently knows it all and a best friend who could possibly have the mouth of Satan, but she's been with her through hell and back. Then there's the hunk-a-licious biker neighbor finally showing interest in her. If only she wasn't about to face her next obstacle in life, the one she ran from six years ago: her ex-husband.

Skip the audio and just read the book.
Revisado: 03-03-25
The story itself is okay, the plot is a bit on the silly side but it’s a fun easy read. As I had already read the book I went ahead and picked up the audiobook since it was deeply discounted, which I imagine was due to the lackluster performance of the narrator. While I like to give narrators a chance, Tarny Evans does such an awful job of narrating that I did not make it past chapter 7. She has so little emotion or depth and she has these long pauses between words that are not natural. I will definitely be passing on any other books narrated by her.

Historia
Theo Wallace usually laughs at the horoscopes his mom sends. Still hung up on his ex-girlfriend and practically friendless, this one begs him to reconsider. Because a friendship that stuck, that thrived, well, that would be a reason to leave past pains behind and look to the bright future. When his sister Leone challenges him to find her the perfect date for a spring wedding, Theo uses it as a chance to make new friends.

Good story, terrible narration
Revisado: 07-27-24
The story itself is cute but the way the narrator read the story was laughable. The voices the narrator used for each character were awful. The sweet moments between the two characters were ruined because of how it was read. Do yourself a favor and just stick to reading the book and skip the audible.

Historia
Cutthroat political consultant Thom Morgan is thriving, working on the governor of California’s presidential campaign. If only he didn’t have to deal with Clay Parker, the infuriatingly smug data analyst who gets under Thom’s skin like it’s his job. In the midst of one of their heated and very public arguments, a journalist snaps a photo, but the image makes it look like they’re kissing. As if that weren’t already worst-nightmare territory, the photo goes viral—and in a bid to secure the liberal vote, the governor asks them to lean into it. Hard.

Undecided
Revisado: 05-23-24
I’m not really sure if I like this book. Neither of the main characters are very likable for the majority of the story and the story itself was slow paced. There were also some issues that were mentioned several times, but never resolved, which is just sloppy writing. I did enjoy how each character grew and changed eventually but it took so long for the changes that I almost gave up on finishing the book. I’m glad I did finish the book but I probably wouldn’t recommend spending money or a credit on it.

Historia
Something is very wrong with the Fitzwilliam estate. It was supposed to be a regular seance job. But from the minute I met an angry ghost in the hall, I knew there wasn't going to be anything ordinary about this house or its dead residents. First of all, there were way too many of them. Second, some of them had been helped along from living to dead. Third, my attempt to figure out what was going on got a bit sidetracked when I met the gardener. He was tall, dark green, and handsome. And really, really smart. So I hired him to help me figure out what was going on.

Interesting but…
Revisado: 12-27-23
The story starts out well but goes off track along the way. The main plot of the story is interesting but it’s like the author wanted to add length to the story and includes several chapters that have little to nothing to do with the main plot. When the story finally gets back around to the main plot and to the climax between the protagonist and antagonist, it just cuts to the protagonist waking up in the hospital with a short explanation of what happened. It’s extremely anti-climactic and disappointing. The story starts with so much potential but it doesn’t live up to its potential. As for the narrator, he does okay with the human character voices but all the voices of the “non-human” characters sound like cartoon characters which was annoying. I wanted to like the book but it ultimately failed to impress. I highly doubt I will continue the series.

Story was ruined by the narrator…
Revisado: 07-12-23
The story itself is good but the narration was terrible. The narrator sounds robotic and ruins the chemistry between the two MCs. I finished listening but I will definitely not be purchasing anything else by this narrator.

Great story….

…but very emotional. For anyone who’s ever experienced betrayal by someone they loved and trusted, this story may bring up some painful memories. Fortunately for the two MCs, unlike what often happens in reality, they get their HEA.

Historia
I was just a boy when the monsters rose on earth, forcing humans to flee to the coastlines and live in cramped, dirty, military-controlled cities. I enlisted as soon as I could to escape. Now, I’ve been in the military for twelve years and have the scars—and missing body parts—to prove it. As a hardened soldier who’s spent his fair share of time out in the Wastes—the dangerous place where monsters roam free—I didn’t think anything could surprise me anymore.

Loved!
Revisado: 03-10-23
I really enjoyed reading all the monstrous books and being able to listen to them is a bonus. Michael Lesley has done an amazing job with all the voices. I think the only drawback to his reading of Edin, is that I pictured Hunter having a deeper voice than Charlie, so that threw me off a bit but once I got past that I just really enjoyed the audiobook.

Historia
Sometimes your dream guy isn’t who you think he is. Sem has been stalking me for months. He shows up everywhere I am and lurks in the background, his eyes always on me. I don’t understand his fascination with me, but he won’t leave me alone. He’s definitely not my type. He’s too big, too reckless, and too feral. But then one night he breaks into my apartment and dares me to do something crazy and I can’t say no.

Light on the angst…
Revisado: 01-12-23
The second book in this series is a bit lighter than the first book and has several laugh out loud moments, and while I like Liam DiCosimo as a narrator, Alexander Cendese should have read for both of the MCs because he did an amazing job!

Very fast paced story…
Revisado: 10-08-22
While this is a novella and I realize there’s not much room for plot development, this story moves way too fast for any kind of character development. It goes from the MCs meeting to hooking up to more without any build up or even chemistry between the two. It’s more a relationship of convenience for the two protagonists rather than of passion or love. Michael Dean is one of my favorite narrators and while I enjoy listening to him read, not even he can save this story.
