the Mc? dumb as hell, the useless support characters? annoying. what is the point of having a guiding spirits that doesn't even explain the basics of the world? ooh I know! it's just there so he can say shart over and over.....soooo funny!!!! the character skill and level progression...pathetic. dropping this stupid series.

you cannot imagine the number of litrpg I have started listening to and forced my self to wade through holding my nose ignoring the neckbeard energy, and incel "nice guy" fantasies because I just love... litrpg! many times i just cant do it and abandon them, they are that freaking cringy. finding a series that has the game mechanics, the skills, the progression without the unwashed desperate for "females" vibe that usually abound is a legendary drop!. this series and the chrysalis series keep me going!

the story was fine. it would be immensely improved if they stopped showing their annoying pedo stuff down our throats. supposedly an adult but unable to tell the preteens--several of them--fall in love instantly in love with gil...for reasons-- disgusting

it's not just...." litrpg horror" needs trigger warnings

I'm a fan of Matt's other work. I had forgotten why I had avoided this and saw it for free with nothing to listen to so I clicked. made it to what??? cpt 2 maybe? . People saying it's not for the faint of heart cause it's horror are being extremely vague. this book includes torture, sadism, and extreme violence. it's not just gruesome, or gory. I won't give bad ratings because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the performance and what little I heard of the book itself sounds ok to me, but the tags should actually tell you that it includes torture, sadism among other things. I didn't make it far enough to find it but I'm sure rape will appear at some point or another.

I dont hate the story, I really don't, but the refrigerator sister thar keeps being pulled out again and again to be rescued and drive the plot was as annoying on the first book as in this one. I was hoping they would on from the gimmick...but here we are again.

I didn't realize this was a story of my first relationship book. fine fine he has a crush on an elf that he gets with..but his obsession and salivating over every single female character is cringe and annoying af. so cringe in fact I could not finish this free book.

one thing I hate about any female character I have come across so far is that any time they do anything, like fight anyone or do whatever they need to survive there is usually a long preface and post period of apologizing ...for existing. long monologues about how they really dont want to hurt anyone..blah blah blah...they kept that to a minimum here...for that I'm greatful.

better than I expected. I do wish it was a bit longer. can I tell you? its so refreshing to listen. to an audio book in my favorite genre litrpg without having to ignore large sections due to cringy soft porn.

animal cruelty, abuse, and kidnapping

he is constantly punting his pet rabbit, calling it stupid.....and kidnapping women. not only does he keep kidnapping women but he keeps them...unconcious. incredibly disgusting and creepy. in chpt like 10 and that is all that has happened so far. boring af.
