Very enjoyable listening. True to Holmesian canon. A small credulity stretch at completion but easily overlooked. A recommend.

Historia
It’s the autumn of 1890, and a spate of bombings has hit London. The newspapers are full of fevered speculation about anarchists, antimonarchists and Fenians. But one man suspects an even more sinister hand behind the violence. Sherlock Holmes believes Professor Moriarty is orchestrating a nationwide campaign of terror, but to what end? At the same time, a bizarrely garbed figure has been spotted on the rooftops and in the grimy back alleys of the capital.

Historia
This episode is based on Conan Doyle's story "The Adventure of the Golden Pince-Nez", in which Holmes investigates the stabbing of a young professor's aide. The 16 episodes of Sherlock Holmes starring Gielgud and Richardson were produced by Harry Alan Towers (1920-2009) for his "Towers of London" company. They were first broadcast on the old BBC Light Programme in 1954, and by NBC in 1955; they are still regarded by many as the definitive Holmes series.

Complicated twists and turns .... many names of unfamiliar terminology. This reading is not for alpha wave listening . Difficult to track many (if any) sympathetic characters. Still, epic in reach and resolution . Well read and performed . If it is within your karma you will find this enjoyable ! Required reading for all Samurai.

Historia
Expert Sherlockians Laurie King and Leslie Klinger put forth the question: What happens when great writers/creators who are not known as Sherlock Holmes devotees admit to being inspired by Conan Doyle stories? While some are highly regarded mystery writers, others are best known for their work in the fields of fantasy or science fiction. All of these talented authors, however, share a great admiration for Arthur Conan Doyle and his greatest creations, Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson.

For my preferences , drifts too far from the Canon. Well written and read just not enough Holmes and Watson.

Sherlock Holmes thrives on danger. Sudden knife attacks, being stalked, and facing a network of assassins present little more than a cheery break in the monotony. But the enigmatic Lady Beatrice presents danger of a different kind. Is she a murderer or a potential victim? Or something even more perilous? Uncovering her secrets could change Holmes's life forever, and in ways even he cannot anticipate.

Good pace, loyal to the Canon, well read. Read this one you'll read the next. Enjoyed Holmes experiencing frustration in complicated casework.... no easy brilliance in this, Holmes must grind. Beatrice is the perfect intellect to capture the Holmes brother's attention. Characters are well developed.... nice job Geri ! Looking forward to a third .
